  1. One thing that has always puzzled me is the TV revenue angle. Surely it’s within the wisdom of someone to do a deal & ensure clubs won’t pay a penny back in the event of no restart. My understanding is the deal runs until end of ‘22. Say for argument’s sake that there’s 25% of tv games for this season left. Negotiate adding another year on the end of that contract, taking into account the 25% left, plus a goodwill bonus. Ie, give them the ‘23 season for half the price they’re paying for a season on average . Throw in a few other incentives like reducing the number of times they have to show clubs, & maybe some leeway on kick off times ( TV games sat 3pm for example), and I’m sure there’s a deal to be done. This season is probably one of the worst for TV companies, with no title excitement at all. More big clubs on, when there is a race, & half price extra season must be appealing to them. Or am I missing something. Over the long term clubs will lose out slightly, but that can be worked into budgets. One thing for sure, once the risk of paying money back now is gone, the momentum will go out of returning. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. You’re allowed close contact with members of your family, so no need to play behind closed doors at Fratton. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. White lines looks promising. Only watched the first episode, but the bird from Coronation street runs some sort of sex parties, whilst her ex, played by Daniel Mays, runs drugs. Some fit young thing is investigating her brothers death. Promising, but these things often tail off into soppy right on pony. Promising though. I actually watched Millionaire this week, Clarkson is quite good. It’s certain better than the dogs breakfast they made of beat the chasers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I know, I’m one of them Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Compare our teachers willingness to go back to work, with theirs Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Don’t talk rubbish man. Spurs & Everton are bigger clubs, with bigger grounds, bigger fan base, bigger ambitions & 2 of the best managers of the past 20 years. I reckon every one of our players would move there for exactly the same money as they’re on now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. All 3 of our central midfielders are average, whether he stays or goes we need an upgrade. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Do 12 & 13 year olds run round the teachers ankles then? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I presume you’re happy to put shop workers in the firing line. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. You’re still not answering the question. You said it’s wrong that cleaners can visit your house but parents can’t. It’s not about the “message it sends out”, that’s just pony. You spouted off that it’s wrong that a cleaner can visit for house, but not your parents. It’s very simple, you either think it’s wrong that the cleaner can visit, or it’s wrong that your parents can’t. Which is it? It’s starting to look like you’re just ranting about the government and like a typical leftie, don’t really know why. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Let’s try once more. What is wrong with the rule? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah, let’s let them stay home until a cure or vaccine is found. May effect their future prospects, but who cares, it’s only evil Tories that benefit from an educated work force. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. So still no answer. I bet Sir Kier has a cleaner, do you think she should continue to work or not? It’s not that tough a question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. It’s a simple question. You were moaning that people can’t have their parents round, but can have their cleaner. Surely your not just whinging for the sake of it. What is the issue, should cleaners not be allowed, or parents be allowed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Rubbish. It’s incredibly pinko leftie. Could you see the great lady taking this disproportionate approach. You’re doing the typical leftie thing and trying to pretend you don’t understand why different groups of people require different measures. But just to clarify, do you think your mum & dad should be allowed to visit your house or that your cleaner shouldn’t. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I didn’t Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Don’t you mean Sir Keir Rodney Starmer KCB QC. Nearly 50 years after the great lady & Labour are still sticking with white middle aged males. Anyway, this is a Covid thread, there’s other threads to discuss Labour’s shortcomings. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Why should they be worried? She’s not a white middle class male, so they’ll never elect her leader. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. They’re different than normal vouchers & are ABTA protected. From the ABTA website; “A Refund Credit Note entitles you to rebook a holiday at a future date or receive a cash refund at a later date, up until the expiry date of the note. It also retains the financial protection that you had with your original booking.” The Premier league could do something similar and guarantee a refund if we go belly up. 21. Hague used to regularly monster Blair at PMQ’s didn’t make a blind bit of difference. Let’s see how he does when the chambers full & there’s a coordinated heckling campaign from the vast banks of Tory MP’s. The subject matter lends itself to boring forensic scrutiny, it won’t always be like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. They’ll try and offset that against the next one you buy. TUI are offering a voucher to the value of holiday plus 20% on top, makes sense for us to do something similar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Nothing to do with politics LOL, of course it’s not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Charge back & section 75 are actually 2 different things (I didn’t realise this until my case recently). Charge back is when the card company tries to get your money back voluntarily, section 75 is when they’re jointly reasonable for the charge. Nationwide told me they’d try charge back first, and if unsuccessful I could then process a section 75 claim. Basically, they got Ryan air to voluntarily give me the money back onto my card . Had Ryan air refused, I would have gone down the section 75 route & Nationwide would then have paid me back, before going after Ryanair for reimbursement. I presume the admin costs of refunding nationwide under section 75 were more than voluntarily doing so, so coughed up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
