B&Q decent if you’re buying off the shelf, their delivery service is woeful and their fitters hit & miss. Although I believe they’re knocking their home fit service on the head. Wren make you feel important, great customer service initially and you’ll save time or money on the fitting as the units come already assembled. Have seen poor reports but never had an issue myself. My brother in law has a kitchen fitting business and swears by Howdens, but I believe they’re Trade only. Personally I’ve found B & Q cheapest, but they don’t really have sales anymore. You can play them off against Wren but you need to be careful you’re comparing like for like. We had a great lady do our design, and had no problems with delivery as I made sure the one we bought was in store for me to take away then and there. This is where his problem lies imo, when playing on the left he always checks back onto his right. I think Liverpool in the away semi final is the only time I can remember him actually going past someone on the outside left. He’s got to be the easiest player to defend against as he favours his right side every time, this also slows the game down a touch. I know playing on the opposite side is the modern way, particularly if you’ve got flying full backs that’ll overlap, but you must have a threat of going outside, even if it’s only 2 or 3 times out of 10. He played a bit better in one game when as you say he swapped with Tadic, went down the right and crossed. But if he played there every week, he’d soon be sussed out and they’d show him inside. Until he starts to possess more of a threat on his left side (whether from the right or left) I fear he’s going to be as frustrating as ever. Underperformed in ‘96 at home when there were some pretty average sides involved. Everybody wet themselves over beating Holland, but it was pretty much a dead rubber, both sides went through. One of Germany’s poorer sides won it. ‘90 was a mess until a last min win against the mighty Belgium and then 2 pens to scrape past a naive Cameroon. I don’t understand why people aren’t absolutely delighted with how things panned out. Before the tournament it looked like Germany or Brazil in the quarter finals, to have ended up with Switzerland or Sweden has to be a dream. Yes Columbia is a tougher game than Japan, but **** me the next ones a lot easier than Brazil. If it was an FA cup run you’d take Crystal Palace , followed by Derby or Leeds as opposed to Charlton followed by Man City to get into a semi final. For me you’re in it to win it. I don’t care if we lose to Columbia in the round of 16 or Brazil in the round of 8, they’re just the same to me. Just because one involves beating Japan doesn’t suddenly make it a better campaign. That’s been the problem for years, people still wet their pants over us beating Cameroon in ‘90. Still bang on about ‘96, when the truth is we underperformed in both tournaments. If you don’t get to the final, you might as well go home with the Germans, losing in a quarter or semi should be meaningless, not open top bus parade time ala ‘90. Beat 2 out of 3 average sides and we’re one game against top quality opposition from a final, beat a useless side and we’ve got 2 top quality sides to beat to achieve that. This is it for me. I don’t really care how talented he is in France, Spain, Switzerland or wherever, he may just as well be talented at Basketball. Until we move the club and play in a league he’s talented in, he’s pretty much a waste of time for us. I’m willing to give anyone a second chance, but if you’re not good enough you’re not good enough. Nothing I’ve seen from him and nothing I’ve seen in Hughes coaching career ( in terms of developing Mavericks ala Bally with Matt), makes me think he’ll come good.
