Why don't we all play each other twice & then see. The best team will finish first, the second best second , and on and on. The 8th best team will finish 8th. I find this a much better system than you deciding who you think is 8th best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Depends on what you call " hard Brexit" . Their manifesto was very clear & McDonnell reinforced their commitment to leave the single market on Peston last Sunday . As he rightly says staying in the single market is not respecting the result of the referendum. I've read both parties policies & the only difference is whether we walk away without a deal or not. Of course it's very easy to say you won't, when you're not negotiating the deal, but madness to say so when you are. "Before we start, let me tell you something, however bad a deal you give us, we'll accept it" is not a particularly clever position to take. So if Hard Brexit is leaving the single market, both parties are in favour of it. It would help that if people are throwing around phrases like " hard Brexit " they gave us some context as to what exactly it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So the public rejected her,by giving her the most votes & the most seats. What did the public do to Corbyn then? You do realise that leaving the single market was in the Labour & Tory manifesto's don't you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is that the same May that took zero time off because of diabetes & the same "timid, cold" May that got 50 more seats than the "winner" did? She maybe leader of the largest party, the second ever female PM but that pales into insignificance against Abbotts majority. Had labour stood a pig in that constituency it would have won, it's not really a great feat of political history. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good news. Steptoe on Peston has confirmed that Abbott is better & is again shadow home sec. A remarkable return to health in such a quick time. Seeing as Steptoe does a different type of politics, it couldn't have possibly been Labour hiding her uselessness from the public, it must be a medical miracle Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Anyone would think May did the building work herself. I really don't recall this blame culture before. From Aberfan to Herald of Free enterprise, people waited until enquiries had concluded before pointing fingers. Expert on newsnight saying tonight that trying to make the cladding more eco friendly may have inadvertently created a higher fire risk. You can bet your life nobody on the "progressive" green side will mention that. It's all the wicked Tories fault. There will probably be many and varied reasons & like Hillsborough, I'm sure most will be obvious to future generations. Not that anybody is to blame, but telling people to remain in their flats probably killed a lot of people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My lad met him & was absolutely raving about him, said he's one of the most charismatic person he'd ever met. Giggs, Id rather have John Terry. AVB or LVH, do me a ****ing favour. If we've sacked a decent man for one of those , FFS. I made no secret of the fact I felt Claude Puel deserved another year & looking at the names mentioned on here, I'm even more convinced. I'm getting confused now. According to popular myth on here Claude was Reeds yes man, no backbone. Yet when offered the chance to "change his style" & keep his job, told Reed to stuff it. Some yes man. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day

Amazing isn't it. Not surprised though, remember when we signed Ryan Bertrand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Did a good job in the circumstances. I'll reserve judgement on whether it's the right move or not when I see the replacement. He's got a tough gig when 8th & a cup final isn't good enough. I guess we'll get to see just how easy those achievements are this coming season. Hope this doesn't mean that Jack Stephens progress stalls because he's the shining light of the past 3 months. I guess the players who wanted out because of Puel will all be staying now!!!!!!!!!! The club have shown a lack of class in dragging this out, some of our supporters have shown a lack of class & some of the players (and their family) have shown a lack of class. Unlike Claude whose been classy throughout. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

According to Phillip Collins this was their strategy in the midlands & NE.Tell people on the door step that they can vote for labour because Corbyn can't win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There are predictions & then there are facts. They are two different things. It is a fact that Mrs Thatcher pushed for the single market & one reason she wanted it was to stop state aid.State aid, that was possible before, when the EEC was basically a customs union. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

God there's some pony on here, Labour did so well because they voted for A50, had they not done so, they'd have been smashed. If the vote was held today, the outcome would be no different. Here's a sobering thought for the deluded few on here. Corbyn has shown he can mobilise the youth & the left. He's proved he's a campaigning MP & bloody good at it, rallies & speeches he can attract massive crowds. He hasn't just learnt that, he's always had it. Had he done so during the referendum vote, remain would have won. The reason he didn't, wasn't because of incompetence but because he's a leaver. The customs union is basically the EEC before Thatcher pushed for a single market. The reason Thatcher was so keen on the single market & didn't stop at the CU was because of what she called"internal tariffs". The internal tariffs, were basically state aid. It really makes me laugh when my 16 year old claims she supports Steptoe & co because they'll ensure a soft Brexit, soft Brexit being membership of the SM. Steptoe & his head bangers nationalisation & state aid policies are stopped by membership of the SM. I can understand an argument that Corbyn doing well could mean staying on the CU, but anybody who thinks SM membership is compatible with Corbyns policies is missing the point. The SM was devised to stop policies Corbyn wants to implement . You can not support state aid, re-nationalisation & membership of the SM, they are diametrically opposed to each other. It's also pretty funny seeing lefties obsessed with the SM. Something that probably wouldn't exist if it was t for Mrs Thatcher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The only way you turn young or youngish people onto capitalism isn't by bribing them or making yourself trendy because the left will always beat you on those . The way to do it is by giving them a stake in capitalism. Making them house owners & giving them promotion opportunities. If the Tories can't get the under 40's on the property ladder & they allow them to stagnant with no pay rises or promotions , the Tories are finished long term. Tories are made up of people that capitalism works for . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Really interesting comments from pinko Philip Collins on Red Box podcast today. Says that now is the time for the moderates to split from the Labour Party, but in a friendly & mutually beneficial way. Say they will work together in government or opposition but be 2 separate but linked party. His reasoning was that Corbyn can't and probably doesn't want to, move to the centre as he'll lose the idealistic newbies that he's done so well with. But if he moves left or even stays where he is , labour will lose the marginals they've just clung onto. Now before people scream that he kept the marginals anyway, Collins claims the straggly in those seats was, you can vote for me because Corbyn won't get in, and I can limit Tory power & majority. They can't claim that next time & the vote for me, you can't get Corbyn , won't work. What May work, is vote for my " new labour ' party & in coalition with Corbyns 'left Labour Party" we can water down his unpalatable policies. I found it an incredibly interesting theory, and although doubtful it'll happen , I wonder what other think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lefties, gotta luv em. Just watching little Owen Jones on Dateline London. Talking about his disgust over dealing with the DUP. According to him decent people should have nothing to do with a party that is supported by terrorists. Ordinary people should be horrified. In case you don't know who this moralistic, decent upstanding bloke is, here's a picture of him addressing a summer school last June Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Instead of propping up a Labour Government. http://www.irishnews.com/news/2015/09/02/news/hillary-clinton-emails-labour-sought-dup-election-pact-248668/ Fair play to Caroline Flint , not only is she pretty fit, but she's straight talking. https://m.facebook.com/permalink.php?id=161524687249992&story_fbid=1307339502668499 No surprise who the biggest way anchor over this, Mr dodgy dossier himself. Had a rant on tv yesterday , surprise surprise he sat in meetings trying to cobble together deal with DUP. Ian Paisley Jnr has even claimed that Ed Milliband tried to wow the party in 2015. Although that's probably a smear from a Tory paper. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2015/apr/27/dup-the-party-with-no-natural-bedfellows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
