I'd like to know how he lost the dressing room. Was it the sessions he put on, was it his man management skills, did the players not think he was good enough for them. Was it that Fonte and other big figures couldn't accept falling down the pecking order, or playing up after not getting a move. "Losing the dressing room" is a catch all phrase thrown around regularly at various clubs. Personally I'd like to speak to the experienced pro's, guys like Davo or OR, straight professionals to find out the truth. One things for sure, if the players were moaning about him affecting their performances they look pretty stupid now. For gods sake. The blokes a pretty poor manager but do people need to jump down his throat every single time he makes a comment. The guys played for Barca, played in champions a league final, I think he knows a bit more about the pressures of being a footballer than any of the experts on here. The mental pressure of top flight sport is based around the pressure sportsmen put themselves under. Of course our players aren’t suffering what we associate with pressure, forget paying their mortgage I doubt they’ve even got one, they can buy whatever they want, when they want. They have the best of everything & a lifestyle we can only dream of, but the pressure they’ll put themselves under will be every bit as intense . I agree. I think Puel is a decent manager and that's what he achieved . An exceptional one would have maybe won the cup, gone further in Europe & perhaps finished above Everton. With an average manager this squad should not be involved in a relegation battle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He didn't try very hard. This is what he said when campaigning and attracting criticism for being "soft " on the right to own guns. “I believe in the Second Amendment, It’s there written on the paper. It guarantees a right to bear arms. No matter how many times people try to twist my words around — I taught constitutional law, I know a little about this. I get it.” He's actually complaining that his opponents are trying to twist his words and portray him as anti gun. Until somebody has the balls to do what neither Clinton or Obama did and directly contradict and argue against the constitution, can they even begin to address this. It's going to be long generational battle, but the first tiny step is somebody standing up and telling their citizens that "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Since losing Pelle, Big Vic & Mane we have an average bunch of players. An average bunch that with a good manager would be top 10, and with a bad one fighting relegation. Apart from the full backs & maybe Lamina, the rest are much of a muchness. The 3 centre halves are pretty similar level. PEH & JWP, does it really matter which plays. Is there much between Tadic & Boufal, OR would have been a massive miss last season, but somebody could perform that role to a similar standard he has this season. Even our strikers without Austin are just average. Long runs around and can't score, Gabbi good movement but doesn't score, Guido gives us a little bit of focus, but doesn't appear able to score. It's not like anyone missing will be missed that much. look at the keepers, both just average. We've a squad of 6/10 players, with maybe 3 exceptions. However the 3 exceptions aren't strikers or goal makers like Le Tiss was. If 5 of our regulars were missing, that'd be disastrous for other sides at the bottom. We'd bring 5 in and they'd be no worse, crucially they'd be no better either. A manager is only as good as the tools he's given and since RK left, they've been given some blunt tools. He's been schooled under Rafa Benítez, what do people really expect? Like Benítez he'll set sides up to be solid, be safe and not get beat, good attacking play is a bonus. However, unlike Benítez or even Claude Puel for that matter, he hasn't got the tactical nous or gravitas to do that properly, so we end up where we are now. Boring & defensive, safe without taking risks, but unable to grind out 0-0's. Contrast Sunday with Puels efforts against Liverpool last season, particularly the home league game. My brother in law sold up in Weybridge, brought a nice house in Poole and retired on his final salary pension. Is it his fault that I haven’t got my final salary pension anymore, no it’s Gordon ****ing Brown’s. Is it his fault that the price of property in London and surrounding areas is so high, that he’s made a killing, no. What on earth has he done wrong to be denied the vote or criticised by snowflakes. All his done is work hard all his life, move to the coast and retired. By the way, he left school with **** all, moved to London with nothing, he had no more opportunities than anyone else. My youngest son is now 18, there is absolutely nothing his uncle did 40 years ago, that he couldn’t do today. Typical of this place, some knee jerk reactions from people who love nothing better than moaning. The bloke was tidy yesterday, but was isolated up front. Never really got a sniff on goal apart from one header that can’t be considered an easy chance at all. Here’s an idea, why don’t people let the guy play a few games, perhaps against sides outside of the top 6 and then judge him. I know the budding Paul Mitchell’s on here are so knowledgeable that they can make instant assessments about players, personally I think 2 games (one of which he did ok) is too soon. That’s a really good point. Future Governments can absolutely change the terms. And no, I wouldn’t trust any of them Society needs to make a decision . We can either send 10% to uni with no fees or 50% with fees. I doubt we can put the genie back in the bottle as the industry is too big to change now. We can absolutely not afford to pay for 50% of the population to go to uni for free. What I find strange & incoherent is Corbyn wanting to make it free. Who does it help, the graduates that will pay off their loans. Which is in effect the very richest, the same richest he wants to tax more. Whether the left like it or not, fees are progressive. The more you earn, the more you pay back. If you’re poor, you don’t pay a penny back and it’s written off after 30 years. Its not really a loan, more of a higher tax rate , and should be renamed. The PFA should absolutely be helping in cases like this, rather than supporters who in the main would have earnt a lot less than players did. In comparison to today’s players they were paid a pittance, but were pretty well paid compared to the working man. Short career maybe, but plenty of jobs cease to exist or have been made redundant. The days of life time jobs went for his generation regardless of whether you were a footballer or not. The PFA should do more for retired members, they can afford it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
