  1. Corbyn has done a right number on the lemmings that chant Oh Jeremy Corbyn . New type of politics, authentic,it's just pony, & pony that'll hopefully be exposed by the next election. He's shameless about it. When Marr asked him & he kept refusing to answer if he'd join a picket line. Marr said "what happened to the Jeremy Corbin I've known and interviewed for years, who always gave a straight answer", his reply was " I became Labour leader". Just like every other politician who becomes leader, new kind of politics my arse. Their Brexit position will fall apart once there's meaningful votes & they're making eye watering spending commitments. As Andy Burnham said yesterday there's nothing progressive about abolishing tuition fees as it's the high earners will benefit, it'll also cost a fortune . Today's announcements from McDonnell is just them pointing at things people don't like & saying they'll sort them. How is capping debt interest on credit cards going to encourage people to pay them off, if anything it'll encourage more debt. Everybody knows pfi contracts ( most a legacy of labour trying to keep spending off the books) are disgraceful , but where are they getting the billions from to "take them back" & what does it say to investors when the Government reneges on its deals. They claim Parliament , in other words The Party as they'll have a majority if they're implementing it, will decide the value of them. Billions of pounds & the loss of investors confidence will be the outcome. Once people wake up & realise they're bonkers ,they're screwed . I personally think we'll look back on the 2017 election as a tipping point. The moment that The Tories were so bad, that they enabled the hard left to take over the Labour Party. Which in turn ensured a generation of Tory governments. Perversely, by being so bad May could have saved the Tories, because any half decent opponents would inflict a '97 whitewash on this lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. JRod having an interesting game. Blatantly brought down for peno but played on & hit post ( ref a joke not bringing it back ) , then a Saints like finish with a fanny header cleared off the line. Smashes it with his head & it's a goal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Anyone who wants to ban chicks from football is a ****ing dinosaur Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Although when called out, it turns out it was a wind up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Nope. He said he wanted Brexit to fail before adding " and I'd rather see the nation fail" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Pretty pointless having a forum if you're just going to leave it to the professionals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Nail on head. All the shouting about Long not being a natural scorer won't change this. If we're going to play one striker we have 3 options, a non goal scoring bloke who can hold up the ball and has pace, a slow, injury prone goalscorer who can physically do a job until he's blowing out of his arse at halftime, or a striker with good movement who can score, but needs service, service we're incapable of giving him. Anyone other than Long up front away at Stoke would be madness. Gabbi will be running around not touching the ball & Austin won't be quick enough to get us up the pitch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Long is poor stuck out wide in Redmonds role, he needs to play in a 2 or on his own. It only works on his own if the 3 behind contribute goals, as they don't we're always going to struggle playing one up top. Gabby isn't physical enough yet ( for English game) & Charlie's not mobile enough. I'm not saying Long is perfect far from it, and if we are going to play one up we needed to spend money & get someone decent in, but we look better and he's been the best option this season. 10. Oh, so it was all a wind up. Course it was..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Michael Owen or Robbie Fowler in their prime wouldn't have looked like putting the ball in the net yesterday. What do you want him to do. Work hard, hassle their back 4, hold the ball up, chase lost causes & win balls he had no right winning , as well as creating his own chances which he then finishes. **** me, he'd be playing for city or Chelsea if he could do that. Stop being a twt and think before you post. He played well yesterday, it's not his fault we didn't manufacture a chance for him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It didn't sound like he said it, he explicitly said it. " I'd rather see the nation fail ", were his exact words Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. There's a difference between wanting Brexit to fail and wanting the nation to fail. He clearly stated "I'd rather see the nation fail". **** me, how unpatriotic can you get, you'd rather hundreds of thousands of your neighbours & fellow countrymen lose their jobs, houses & futures because of an ideology. I've always felt we'd be better off outside the EU than in, but didn't want us to end up like Greece to prove my point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. What a load of pony. He unsettled their back 4, won plenty of ball that he had no right to win, held the ball up ok and was lively all game. Couldn't fault his performance as a lone striker yesterday. It's not his fault we can't pick the final pass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. One thing for sure, had Stephens defended like that for the goal, he'd have got a lot more clog on here than Wes is getting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. No, I'm struggling to understand people being happier when we lose , than when we don't Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. There's no point in playing 2 up front if you're going to be starved of the ball because you're short in midfield. However, to keep the same system and the same players , will produce the same results. Therefore, the manager needs to put a system in place that gets Gabbi or Austin on the pitch, with long. But Long as a striker, not a wide player. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Strange. Played a boring 0-0 against Utd last season & got booed of. Lost today and got cheered off. I guess there's more tourists who just want to watch a jolly good game, than people that hate to lose . Also blokes leaving on 87 mins, what's that all about? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Huffed & puffed but not quite enough quality at the sharp end . No criticism of Long because he was good today, really put himself about & unsettled them all day, but he needs some support. I love Davo, an incredible professional, but you just can't play a non scoring front man with a non scoring 10., especially when the wide men are also non scoring . We have to get 2 up front, to continue to do the same thing over & over again is madness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The gentrification of football is just a reflection on the era we live in . It's not just football , there aren't many dives around to get lashed up in, festivals are now cooperate events put on for the middle class. More like last night at the proms than Woodstock. You can't put the genie back in the bottle, it's gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Says a lot about the type of person you are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. The modern world where the club can't ignore police advice. Imagine they move the away fans and it all kicks off, god forbid a nipper is crushed or seriously injured and during the enquiry the police explain that they'd highlighted the potential for this to happen, and the club ignored it because you and others wanted a better atmosphere. That modern world. According to the police, they're in the safest part of the ground. To move them would put up the chances of aggro and probably mean more policing & stewarding costs. And all because nobody creates an atmosphere any more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Not this again. The police want the away fans where there are. In the modern world the club would be bonkers to ignore that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Pelle & Tadic clearly his. Didn't Toby say that Koeman was the main factor in wanting to come here. Bertrand, who knows, I'd imagine he was on our radar, but Ron could have blocked it if he didn't fancy him. I read an article where the long signing was held up as a great example of what happens nowadays. Koeman asked for a player used to playing in England that could play in a 3 or down the middle, and Les gave him 3 options and we ended up with Long. Koeman was the perfect manager for the time. Big name, needing to rebuild his career slightly, used to players leaving and supremely confident. It suited his career and it suited us. Personally, I think he'd have been a disaster last season had he stayed, but we'll never know. I don't particularly rate him and feel Everton could have found a better fit, but the two seasons we had were superb. Right place, right person, right time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. It's only going to get worse. Why on earth would the club want to reduce ticket prices for anyone, let alone the nippers. Why would they want to do anything that costs money to increase the atmosphere. Why would they want more working class lads in that couldn't afford it without concessions & don't have any spare money to waste, except to lash it up elsewhere. They're perfectly happy with more middle class, richer , older, tourist type fan. More cash to spend at our outlets, less police & stewarding costs and more importantly we're pretty much full most weeks. I doubt there's many that refuse to go anymore because of the lack of atmosphere, but plenty of middle class joes that'll stop going if we turn the clock back. There's as much chance of 1970's 80's & 90's atmosphere coming back as there is of watching Chopper Harris or Tommy Smith type tackles. It's gone, watching football is a different event now.
