It has to do with it having to be balanced . If they have to interview 2 people with opposite arguements , one could be a complete half bake and the other with a serious coherent point . In order to expose the half bale their charter makes them treat the " normal " person exactly the same

That's the fundimental problem with the BBC . Because it's paid for by a poll tax it has to be " balanced" . Therefore both sides of the debate had to come under exactly the same scrutiny . This means that every bodies views are taken apart equally and every interviewer now thinks they're Paxman . This leads to an erosion of trust on both sides and this loss of trust will clearly favour the outsiders . My mum and dads generation would believe the PM because he was the PM , this reverence has now gone and part of the reason is the media , and particularly the bnc"s obsession with rubbishing politicians opinions . They think they're holding politicians to account , but when you set out to prove they're all liars and cheats it's no wonder the public think they are . The bbc couldn't say that a particular remain expert was right , even if he was , because that wouldn't be balanced . It's not leaves fault it's the 1950's state broadcast set up we have .

Good post . Other countries have access without free movement , we can do the same . Being in the free market is not the be all and end all.But the remoaners on here want a detailed plan, they want to know exactly what the status will be and they want to know now . May should call Kramkie's bluff . An independence referendum is not a devolved issue only the uk government can call one . May should offer Krankie a fresh vote once we leave the EU and our trading relationship with Europe is known . The Sweatys then have a choice . In the uk and out of EU or part of the EU apart from the UK. There is no way , given the price of oil , the terms new members have to abide by or even the uncertainty as to whether Spain will let them join , that Krankie will take up the offer at that moment in time . So you think a guy who was minister of state for Europe under John Major , has spent years writing and researching the uk's relationship with Europe , and has now been made the minister for Brexit , thought that the uk could do trade deals with individual EU states . If you think that means Davis thinks we can do deals with individual EU nations you are deluded . He is just stating that any EU wide deal will include protection against tarrifs for German car makers , French wine makers and others . He never claimed we could do separate trade deals with France , Germany or whoever . The way the EU works, and why trade deals take so long , is countries protect their pet industries within the overall trade deal. That was clearly what he was talking about

If you really believe that David Davis didn't know that you negotiate trade deals with the EU not individual countries within it , then you really are a complete and utter plank . If he really believed individual countries of the EU can negotiate trade deals with non EU countries , why didn't he call for the UK to do so when we were in . EU /Canada deal took so long because The French want certain things, the Germans other things , the Italians other things . It's one of the main reasons for leaving , negotiations which please 28 countries will take a lot longer than negotiations between us and them . The other point that you remain genius' seemed to be missing despite it being pointed out by countless of the winning team is that any country with a trade deal with the EU , by definition has a trade deal with the U.K. . If both sides are happy with the terms at present , then with a few tweaks , it's pretty much a done deal . We will not be starting from scratch .
