When was the last time we finished above them ?
-
I thought we played better in the 3-1 game . One thing I remember about the 6-3 was a discussion in the pub beforehand , where we all agreed that we couldn't have picked a worse time to play utd as they'd lost by 5 at Newcastle the week before . Never in a million years did we think we'd top that .
-
I hope it's not JWP ,otherwise I could be the first to suffer a ban . I moan and shout about him not getting stuck in and poncing about like a big fairy , every time he plays .
-
I would hazard a guess that we'd have finished in exactly the same place but with a few more million in the bank .
-
Nail , head.

Why get annoyed ? Its only other same as saying we should beat Boscombe & Villa this week.
-
Correct. He's not good enough. I doubt there's one team in the whole league that would take him now , even for free. Forget all this " give him one last chance" nonsense. He had his last chance up at Hull last season and was pretty hopeless.
-
Fans don't pick the team, its his managers that have been leaving him out. Are they fickle ? I was at Goodison when he smacked one in and I still thought he was a complete and utter waste of money .
-
He wouldn't have been anywhere near the bench yesterday had long & Jrod been fit, so perhaps Koeman ( like Bruce, Poch & Adkins) disagree .
-
I thought he was OK for them yesterday , more threatening than Courtino .
-
Because he " clearly has talent" . Seriously , we need to know if he's going to cut it or not. The locals and expats I spoke to in Malaga this summer raved about him. Gaston has had his chance , that ships sailed and we've had too many false dawns. Can you really see him accepting reduced terms or us offering him similar terms for a new contract? Therefore , I'd rather see the future than the past. If we're going to say to anyone " go out and proive yourself " I'd rather it was Juanmi than that waste of money
-
He's had decent run outs for us and Hull and failed , why keep flogging this particular dead horse?
-
I don't want to hear about any players sex life, whether its Wayne Rooney with an old Granny , Ashley Cole with some fit chick or these blokes " coming out" . The problem is the politically correct brigade will stop us booing them, so I hope its not Lallana & Lovren .
-
**** me, he won one header and passed the ball to Pelle. I doubt he registered with any neutral. What is it with this guy , he does OK when chucked on in desperation of a point and all of a sudden he's " clearly got talent" again . Shane long makes more impact off the bench every time he comes on and he'd also would have won that header. Shane smacked one in against the world champs off the bench , Gaston took advantage if some poor defending and won a header. Forget giving him a chance against villa , he's had quite enough chances. Let's give Juanmi a go, he maybe one for the future, we know Gastons not. He's a monumental waste of money and nothing I saw yesterday changes that fact.

Any point away is good, but there were also some real positives . Clasie looked like he will be ok , I thought he did well for his first start . VvD plays with a cigar lit , he's going to be some player IMO. 2 full backs were good , I'm glad cedric seems to be coming on ok . Sky's post match coverage was shockingly biased , joke .
-
Oh God , we're now going to add the "Liverpool assist " to " the villa game " . Give him a new contract " he clearly has talent" .
-
I've never understood it when a pen is awarded . A goal scoring opportunity was not denied as they had one from the spot with only the keeper to beat . Unless it's a blatant " save " on the line like Suarez or outside the area it should be pen and only a yellow . The chance from the spot was much easier than Fletchers , as he still had a lot to do if he wasn't fouled . Pen and off is too severe .
-
Finished above them and got relegated , that's never going to happen again . The biggest myth about that season is the Denis Law back heel . It certainly didn't send them down as results elsewhere relegated them anyway .

Gary Cahill has .

Lonely Southampton pensioner becomes hit on social media

I think I'll do something nice tonight. When the Snap Dragon comes and picks me up from the boozer , I may let her come in and have a drink with me. -

I've given up offering my seat or opening doors for chicks in case I get a mad nutty libber , who considers it sexist . -
If I went to a rugby forum and asked about football I'd expect sarcasm. Ralph did well to even answer, I'd have replied " we're here to talk about Southampton MEN's team" . Women football is a different sport , perhaps I should have gone up and asked about saints running a Sunday morning pub team . Have your own solant forum if you want to discuss chick football , although I suspect the audiance would consist of a couple of lesbians , a few perverts and a dozen assorted bra burners . Nobody , least of all most women, care about it . Get over it .

Was glad I went out and sunk a few tanglefoot rather than listen to that ( going from the summary on here) . Seriously what on earth has chicks football got to do with Sputhampton FC? ****ing hell I bet Ron was rolling his eyes then . Get the chance for some serious questions and answers and we get this rubbish . What about tactics , our European campaign , is anyone leaving in Jan , are we after anyone in Jan . What's the next generation coming through like and are there any youngsters near the first team , injury updates , loads we could have found out that are far more important than shirts birds can fit in and their football . I thought we were lucky to get away with a draw. Once it went to 2-1 it was only going one way, I'm just glad they scored with such little time left. Second half we had a collective nightmare with some very average performances . Fair play to Leicester , they were excellent second half . Mane trying to lob the keeper just about summed it up, I hope Ron dug him out and a few of the others. Felt a bit sorry for the back 4 because further up the pitch we didn't manage the game at all well. Tadic, hardly had a kick second half , Vic really poor , JWP back to his little boy lost routine, and Pelle had his worst 45 for a while.

Good point . A friend of mine spent well over £1,000 on tutoring and his lad never got in . We spent the best part of £0 and 2 of ours got in . In the initial open day at the boys Grammar , before the kids even took the test , the head was very clear on this . He said if any children needed tutoring to get in then there was a high chance that it wasn't for them and what you describe would happen . The exam includes non verbal reasoning which I believe measures iq and is hard to tutor . The girls school really didn't seem to care ( and didn't include non verbal reasoning ) but the boys headmaster really hammered home how unhappy it could make some children . Clearly this is not going to stop people tutoring , mainly because the facilities , reputation and standards in the school are so high that getting them in is the be all and end all of everything . It doesn't help that the other option we had is a very poor school . My lad is at the bottom of the year , but they also concentrate on basic social skills and appearance . They also bring kids out of their shells and install confidence in them . This may sound bad and upset a few , but the main benefit for us has been the lack of toerags . They've kept him out of trouble and turned him into a decent kid ( with his mums help as well) and that's why I have no regrets , even if his exam results end up being no better than they would have been at the comp.
