Henrik Rystrom would be a good choice. I haven’t got a fucking clue who he is, but being a hipster, I’m in. Has he got a normal head?

Nobody is against those people not receiving it. Leave aside labour’s hypocrisy over this (you know as well as I do they would have opposed it had the Tories removed it), to do what they’ve done a month or two before winter is pretty poor. It’s also pretty cynical because they know full well a large % of people entitled to pension credit don’t claim it (Martin Lewis estimates 880 thousand pensioners). It’s the reason Gordon Brown made it universal. Surely it’s not beyond the wit & wisdom of man to give it to everyone, but claw it back via the tax system for those who don’t need it. Maybe they should have waited until spring whilst working out a system that will ensure the poorest get it. I’ve always been against middle class receiving state money, whether it’s winter fuel payments or child benefit. If they wanted a couple of billion that bad they could have lowered the cut off for receiving child benefit, or limited it to 2 children in line with Universal credit. Or even, god forbid, cut the foreign aid budget. Im surprised they did this, even more surprised anyone is supporting it…… -
Scott Parker got Boscombe promoted & was sacked the following Aug, despite actually winning a game in the Premier League. They ended up staying up. We’re not some 2 bit noddy club grateful to be in the big time, we’ve spent most of the past 60 years at this level. If Lego doesn’t get a couple of wins under his belt before the next international break he needs to fuck off. Clearly Davie Moyes would be the best bet if you wanted an experienced hardened manager used to operating at this level.

You’re deluded man. We lost 3-0 & 3-1 (only getting the 1 in injury time), that’s not “competitive”. We played 10 men for an hour, pretty hard not to be competitive in those circumstances, and we never looked like beating Forest. If that’s “competitive “ my cocks a carrot.

“Some wealthy ones”, 😂. Dear god, if it wasn’t for your defence of Huw Edward’s, this would be the most ignorant post written on here this past couple of years. -
My condolences.

Let’s look what they’ve done so far. Despite opposing it in opposition, they voted to maintain the 2 child benefit cap. They took winter fuel payments off the vast majority of pensioners, despite in opposition saying they’d protect it. Despite opposing the Tory early release scheme in opposition, they’ve widened it. Despite saying in opposition they’d end cronyism, the bloke who kitted out Starmer & his mrs is given an access all areas pass to number 10. Despite saying in opposition they’d we whiter than white, Starmer “forgot” to register his Mrs free clothes. Despite saying in opposition there was a 40 billion black hole, they are suddenly “shocked” to find a 22 billion one. As you say, meet the new boss, same as the old boss. The only difference is the lack of posts from the progressive gang on here. -

Looks like Sir Kier may be facing an investigation into not declaring Lord Alli paid for his Mrs’ clothes as well as his own. Sir Kier suddenly released he’d “forgotten” to declare them when The Times started sniffing around. Lammy meanwhile defends him by suggestion the tax payer should pony up for The Starmers clobber, so they can look their best. This new broom is remarkably like the old one. -
I’m with you. I don’t get where this “nice guy” pony comes from. Because he says nice things about the players, and won’t call them out? He comes across as arrogant and condescending , superior to us laymen who just don’t understand his tactical genius. He’s half right I guess , I don’t understand his tactics. He’s a bit of cock imo.

Finally we have a keeper who bollocks the defenders, and rants and raves when we concede. -
Exactly. What level do people think our reserve centre halves should be. It’s not his fault he’s playing week in week out, that’s on Lego
-
He’s fucking pony.

If true , it’s a Fucking joke. We’re not a fucking pub team. 100% down to the manager to fucking dictate who takes them.

I’d have thought the sight of labour MP’s cheering as winter fuel payments were taken from pensioners on 12k a year may have got some comment, it certainly would of done if the Tories had done so. -
I meet plenty of people, I just don’t go round discussing their politics. You’d be banned from any ale house I frequent, wandering around boring people like some demented Robert Peston. Funny how all your “friends” always contribute to your righteousness, that’s why people call pony.

Course you do…😂😂

Looks like he’s the new Rory Stewart, the person everyone who won’t ever vote Tory want to lead the party. Personally, I hope he does win because it’ll be he final nail in their pink coffin. Wont happen as he’s got absolutely zero chance of getting past the members, mainly because Tory members tend to be …..Tories. They’ll do their best to ensure Kemi doesn’t make the final 2, so I imagine all the Lib Dem’s pretending to be tories will fall in behind him or Cleverly, handing it to Jenrick .

This thread proves once again that Soggy doesn’t give a shite about Haiti. There’s escalating gang violence, political instability with 578,074 internal displacements which include 310,000 women and girls and 180,000 children. Shamefully he appears to be only concerned with people in Gaza & Sudan. Obviously a hierarchy of concern from two tier SoG.

Disappointed? They should be embarrassed .

Is that down some stairs? We had a spell after matches in one down some stairs about 8 years ago. The problem we found was the good beer was either weak as piss or too strong. Couldn’t find a decent session beer & ended up pissed as rats on train home . Alex used to be good for ale, weird but good pint.

Tanglefoot is not as good as it was. They’ve reduced the strength (tax purposes I presume)and it’s not quite the same. It’s still a great beer, but not quite the peak it was. I actually had a conversation with one of the Woodhouses about it, when my mate who is a landlord introduced me. He was a posh fox hunting type & I was rather merry, but he thanked me for my “passionate feedback” 😂

Agreed, it’s not like it’s come from the CoT or anyone credible like that.
