The bird controlled the debate pretty well, because it could have been a shambles. Funny outcome because I reckon supporters of all 7 will have been pleased with their candidate’s performance. They all got their points over and did a great job for their particular views. Fair play to Penny, she was handed a hospital pass and dealt with it ok. Personally, I was happy with Nigel & I think he’s done himself some good with his target audience. He’s a lot slicker than previously, clearly worked on presentation & avoiding the dead cat technique. I was worried he may talk and interrupt too much & may say something outrageous, the fact he didn’t indicates to me he seriously thinks there could be a breakthrough. Obviously, the lefties will hate him, he won’t care. Absolutely nobody is contemplating whether to vote reform or Green, Lib Dem or reform, so he’s not lost any votes by pushing stop & search, criticising net zero, & saying immigration is too high. He got lucky to close last and made the most of it with a great closing statement. If I was a Tory, I’d be worried their vote isn’t going to be squeezed this time.

The Greens, Lib Dems, Taffs & Sweaties are just promising money left right and centre. It’s all money for this, money for that, more soliders, more doctors, more care workers. They’re going to fix the roads, build more houses. Fucking 6th form politics. Raynor, Penny & Nigel the only ones not living in fantasy land.

I don’t decide what is and isn’t anti semitic. The internationally accepted definition (which labour now accept), is clear. I imagine Nigels tactics will be that labour & The Tories are 2 cheeks of the same arse, and only Reform can offer real opposition to a labour super majority. If Raynor goes after him, it’ll play right into that narrative. If Penny joins in as well, so much the better for the cause. It’s a big moment for Nigel, can he get the Big Mo going after a horrendous couple of days for the Tories. If he can get Brexit voting Tories & people who voted Tory for the first time in ‘19 onside,then that’s a win.

Abbott completed an online antisemitism awareness course in February 2024, So she clearly thought she needed educating. She didn’t double down on her outrageous comments, she didn’t spend hours trying to prove the Jews aren’t a race, or try to redefine what anti semitism is. She apologised & educated herself.
