but given the way that Jewish people have been discriminated against through the ages their treatment of the Palestinians does them no credit. You don’t get a free pass to crush someone or displace them just because it has happened to you in the past.

That’s the spirit comrade, fuck them. Hopefully, they’ll all go bust & the rich twats have to use the state sector. That’ll bring class sizes down in the comprehensive sector.

Parties have played fast and loose with figures for years. Labour used to talk about Tory “cuts” to the NHS when it was actually increased spending but by a lower % increase than labour. They’ve also claimed cuts to NI are linked to future pensions when they know full well it’s not hypothecated. It’s part and parcel of politics, no need to get your knickers in a twist over it. It can be very effective if it plays into people’s perceptions. That’s why Sunak went so hard on tax, and why Labour always talk about NHS cuts. It’s too simplistic to say that’s a lie, or that’s the truth. It’s far more subtle than that. Take the point Sunak made about taxing the state pension. It’s an absolute fact that Tory policy is it won’t be taxed. For the first time ever it will be taxed under Labour. But the reason for this is the deliberate Tory policy of fiscal drag, and it only applies to people who only receive the state pension (which will be fewer & fewer due to auto enrolment). Is it a lie, no. But it’s twisting of facts. It’s disingenuous, in other words, politics. Fact checkers, my arse. Waste of time.

I imagine both sides will be happy. Starmer is so far ahead in the polls, he only needed to avoid a catastrophic night, and Sunak really needed to come out fighting & prop up his core vote. Starmer surprised me because he looked poor on a couple of occasions, bit slow on his feet, as a lawyer I was expecting more but I guess he’d been coached within a inch of his life. Looked a bit shaken on immigration, tax on state pensions and net zero. Sunak over did the 2k tax stuff, and talked over the bird, which will have put some off. The national service stuff was poor but fair play to him for ploughing on and owning the policy. Who won will be down to your politics, I thought Sunak did, but by nowhere near enough to change anything . Mrs Duck who is a raging leftie thought the same & found Starmer “annoying”. She’s still not voting Tory though, which is all Labour needed to do. Maintain their support, and stop the undecided from coming down on the Tory side.

Exactly. He thinks it’s funny when it happens to Nigel, but had someone chucked anything over Abbott, Corbyn or Raynor we’d have a 1,000 word post on it. It’s totally unacceptable to behave like this towards any politician regardless of who they are. It’s just another example of the dumbing down of politics in this country. People moan about the calibre of politicians, then wonder why decent folk don’t stand for election. Prescott had the best response when he chinned the twat. Shame one of Nigel’s female followers didn’t do the same here.

We’ll end up with a 6 a side team if that’s your criteria

Fucking Hell, he’s trying to rewrite the definition of anti semitism now. You really do hate them don’t you?
-
You mean the ones you disagree with. It’s alright for James O’Boring to be biased, but not anyone you disagree with. If he was on QT attacking the “far right” you’d be lapping it up. Fuck me, you’d waste 2/3 of your daily allowance boring us all with it.

The destruction of Hamas military and governing capabilities. The freeing of all hostages. To ensure that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel.

What a crock of pony. What’s standing got to do with it? David Cameron isn’t standing, yet as former PM & Foreign Secretary you’re saying he shouldn’t be on QT. Gordon Brown, Nick Clegg, Alan Johnson, none of their opinions are valid? I’d bet my last dollar you only made that point because you don’t like Nigel, which actually makes your opinion “not relevant”, as it’s based on prejudice.

It’s a load of old pony.

Yep, Ctrl+SOG

Every political “lie” has an element of truth to it, that’s politics. Starmer told the Labour Party he’d stick closely to the 2019 manifesto, pledged he’d abolish tuition fees and called Corbyn a friend. Was he lying or have circumstances changed. Supporters will say he did what was necessary to make the party electable, opponents that he lied. Fucking hell, the masters of political “lying” were New Labour, but people weren’t ranting and raving about that (until Iraq). People like Soggy are obsessed with what was written on a friggin bus, yet ignore the lies told by their side of the debate. They are so convinced of their superiority & righteousness they think people who don’t share their view are lying or being taken in by lies.

What a load of old pony. “No significant electrol achievements” lol. How about winning 2 national elections in the past 10 years, & then winning the EU referendum. After Mrs T & Blair he’s the most influential political figure of the past 50 years. 😂 It’s laughable that someone thinks a programme that has half wits like Russell Brand, Owen Jones & that fucking boring black poet on, shouldn’t invite Nigel.

Didn’t you say what Abbott wrote wasn’t anti semitic & you agreed with her. What does that make you?
-
John McTernan said on radio yesterday that he knows for an “absolute fact” that had Abbott been given the whip back in Jan/Feb she’d have stood down at this election. Says he can’t understand why Starmer lied saying the investigation was ongoing was he knew it had concluded in Jan/Feb. Thinks it’s been set up deliberately to show the party has changed, but there was no need. Booting out Corbyn showed that, and any votes gained from people who agree with Abbott being barred will be lost to the greens & Lib Dems from the other end. Personally, I’m glad to see the back of the racist anti semite.

I would suggest that anyone who hasn’t got a phone is too old to be going to football alone. I bet the ones moaning are tech savvy enough to fire off an email, or whinge on a forum. The club must be praised for interest free credit as well. They could easily have banged a small surcharge on.

What if you lost your wallet? Some of you dinosaurs need to get with the programme.

Adam the Lama to return to Saints? Is this true?

Fact? Not according to Bill Clinton, still what does he know? From the Guardian (just for Soggy) Clinton had "slowly" - to avoid misunderstanding - read out to Arafat a document, endorsed in advance by Barak, outlining the main points of a future settlement. The proposals included the establishment of a demilitarised Palestinian state on some 92% of the West Bank and 100% of the Gaza Strip, with some territorial compensation for the Palestinians from pre-1967 Israeli territory; the dismantling of most of the settlements and the concentration of the bulk of the settlers inside the 8% of the West Bank to be annexed by Israel; the establishment of the Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem, in which some Arab neighborhoods would become sovereign Palestinian territory and others would enjoy "functional autonomy"; Palestinian sovereignty over half the Old City of Jerusalem (the Muslim and Christian quarters) and "custodianship," though not sovereignty, over the Temple Mount; a return of refugees to the prospective Palestinian state though with no "right of return" to Israel proper; and the organisation by the international community of a massive aid programme to facilitate the refugees' rehabilitation. Arafat said no. Enraged, Clinton banged on the table and said: "You are leading your people and the region to a catastrophe." A formal Palestinian rejection of the proposals reached the Americans the next day. The summit sputtered on for a few days more but to all intents and purposes it was over.
