You're assuming he'll walk out when told "because you've dicked us about, we're holding you to your existing deal" . If that's the case then it all depends who you get in.Players seemed to like Nigel, but got over it pretty quick. They would probably use it as an excuse to push to go, but if you got a decent replacement in quick they'll son forgot Poch. Some people are talking as if he's some sort of messiah to the players. Yes, they appear to like playing for him and he's improved some of them, but there are plenty of other managers in that boat. Our players appear to be pretty professional, they'll get over it.

The nearest comparison would be the top 3 into the champions league and then the last place decided with a play off between 4,5,6,7.

At the risk of upsetting the anti "it is clear" brigade one thing is clear to me. He's not fannying around undecided whether to leave. Torn between loyalty to the club that gave him his break , and the ambition of joining a bigger club. If he doesn't sign for spurs, its not because he didn't want to leave. Either they didn't want him, or he feels that the particular job isn't right at present. He's playing us, waiting for a better offer and if one doesn't come it'll be spun as Poch snubs Spurs. This won't be popular on here ,but if I was in ralphs shoes I know what I'd do. When he calls and says "Ducky, I've rejected levy and want to sign that contract", id say "**** off ,we'll talk about it next season when the one you've got runs out". We are starting to look like a desperado whose wife is having an affair, we're waiting at home desperately hoping she will come back to us , where all will be forgiven. We should **** him off and go on the pull, cause he'll be putting it about again soon enough.

Don't talk nonsense man. From a standing start 90+ gains is a really good performance from a 4th party. What people are missing in some cases deliberately , is the long term implications. Ukip does not have to win seats to change the political weather, they just have to ensure that the lib/lab/con can lose them. They've already forced call me Dave to offer a referendum , something he desperately didn't want to do. Nigel is a fantastic political operator, who has worked out that ukip can not be a UK tea party, so is reaching out to white working class labour voters. Results in Sunderland and Rotherham are showing that this strategy could work. They are hoping to become the main opposition in areas that labour take for granted, remember labour thought they'd put the SNP in its box and took areas of Scotland for granted. If they can pressure labour into matching the referendum pledge that will be great. The other issue looming is the Scottish referendum. If the ballot paper had two choices; independent Scotland in the EU or UK out of the EU , I reckon salmond would win. Therefore, a great ukip result Sunday will ensure the SNP campaign on vote yes to stay in the EU. If Scotland goes, then it is game on......

In local council elections you vote on the parties local government policies and also how the incumbent councillors have performed. In the EU elections, you vote on parties European policies and how their meps have done. In a general election, you vote on the MPs performance and also the parties national manifesto. To take one set of results and project the results for another election is comparing apples to pears, particularly when parts of the nation didn't even vote.
-
What are you suggesting that if you agree with one analysis in the media you have to follow them blindly and agree with everything? Personally, I don't think you can judge a national share of the vote unless the whole nation votes. By your measure Alex salmond will be extremely worried as their national share of the vote hit rock bottom. Lol

This, every time. They kicked us off the park first leg. They robbed us every bit as much as rangers robbed them today. Redknapp is one bloke, there were hundreds of twts that night.
-
I hope the derby twts who danced in front of us in the pouring rain were there today.
-
How on earth can you judge the national share of the vote when there are areas of the country that didn't vote? The EU elections are nationwide , so we'll see what the national share of the vote is on Sunday.
-
Should the SNP stand in Westminster elections? Should the lib/dumbs sit in an unelected house of lords?
-
Lol, amazing isn't it. We have all 3 establishment parties putting up people saying we're now in the era of 4 party politics, we have the BBC and sky saying fantastic set of results from ukip, plus every radio bulletin I've heard. The papers are all reporting a good night for ukip, yet a handful of posters on a football forum claiming otherwise. The London results just go to confirm how out of touch londoners are with the rest of England, but also how well Boris did to actually win there.
-
The election experts on sky and the BBC at the start of their coverage had " par" figures for labour as between 400 & 500 , with a good result as 600. The professor on sky was scathing about their result. Ukip was judged to have had a good night if they got 80. I'll go with the people paid to analyse the data and draw a conclusion for sky and the BBC, than posters on a football forum with an agenda. Long term increasing boots on the ground will benefit ukip in exactly the same way libs did when moving from a handful of MPs in the 70's to where they were prior to coalition. Roll on the earthquake on Sunday.
-
Spot on
-
Like all other parties they'll be laying their policies in front of the electorate at the next general election. Having a manifesto you disagree with is not the same as having no policies.
-
Did anyone see that pretty little thing supporting ukip on sky. Told the establishment to stop patronising ukip voters with all this " protest" nonsense. People vote ukip because they like what they say. Ukip doing well in council elections, roll on Sunday when the EU results come in.
-
First council votes in from Sunderland and the establishment are ****ting themselves. Ukip are showing 25 % vote share where they've never stood before. Also reporting that results from hull and Kingston will cause a " shock". Lol at cable on sky. What's the Samaritans phone number.

Since when did trying to pull a fit bird make someone a bigot?

You do despair when you see people like Hamilton and the bloke they've put up for the by election. I'm just fed up with turning on qt or listening to any questions and its a ukip witch hunt. Had I been on it , I'd have asked posh boy" which leader said British jobs for British workers" , when he mentioned inflammatory langague. I'd have asked the lesbo how she can say " I don't know enough about ukip to comment" before calling them racists. If you don't know enough about them, how can you call them racists. I would tell that property women to stop interrupting ( but would try to pull her in the green room). That lib/dumb is extremely impressive, what on earth is he doing with them losers. Its like Rooney playing for Stockport.
-
I've watched 20 mins of it, and its a joke. Hamilton has been put up as a patsy, disgraceful biased programme. The most impressive bloke is the lib/dumb, and the baldy ukip supporter who spoke so eloquently. The posh labour bloke is out of his depth. Dimble needs to get a grip.

Sad really. No doubt we'll hear a load of pony blaming politics, politicians and voting systems, but people need to look in the mirror. If people are content , then that's one thing, but people clearly aren't. You hear people moaning all the time. Its no wonder the political establishment take us for granted. Until people get off their arses and use the system to change the system, nothing is gonna change.

I was genuinely shocked by how busy my polling station was. Some jobs worth wouldn't let me take the dog in, so I tied him up outside with orders to growl at any leftie looking voters arriving.
-
My lad met poyet and he was an extremely nice bloke and very charismatic, I wouldn't be too upset with him , but again he'd use us as a stepping stone. Sherwood won't get a big job, so would hang around as he won't get a bigger job than us. Skate, but he impressed me when he's spoken, jury's out for me. Howe, again will be the biggest job he'll get . Got something about him and we could regret missing out on him. Skate, but plays the right way. Hopefully les will have done his homework and knows if he's any good. Moyes, couldn't have got near him last year in our widest dreams. Needs a long term "project" and would be attractive to a board looking to reign in spending a touch. Doubts about his work with youngsters and his style of football for me. At the end of the day, les should know his stuff. Been a coaching insider for years and its what he's paid for. If you held a gun to my head and made me choose, I'd go Gus.

Even if he stays this year, we're going to go through this rigmarole every summer. Listening to the times podcast ,Marcotti was saying the guy is ambitious and really believes he can manage barca or real Madrid. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but he only sees us as a stepping stone to a bigger club. The consensus on that podcast was he'd be perfect for spurs, but would it be a good career move and maybe he'd be better off waiting until a better job came along.

Sunday night. Timetable is a nightmare for cleggy. It'll be a leak, leak, leak of bad news instead of one big bang. Some councils declare tonight, the rest tomorrow and then EU results Sunday.
