  1. Maybe, but that wasn't the question . Should fairness be judged on total tax take from millionaires or the headline rate they pay ?
  2. I think we have the full backs and with Toby , Jose and yoshida we have the centre halves . Morgan and Big Vic also fit well in the system . The downside is back ups don't fit it, Targett & Gardos and you also need a full preseason to work on it. I like it, because you get 2 up front , without being outnumbered in midfield .
  3. Do you want " millionaires " as a group of people to pay more into the pot or less? Do you judge fairness in terms of total tax take that we get from millionaires or the headline rate they pay?
  4. Watch this from 4.30 and then come back and discuss the Mansion Tax. They haven't got a clue how it'll work, when it'll start, what the % rate will be or even name independent experts that advised them the money they'll get in. It's clearly just a dog whistle to lefties. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqlog7_u3XI
  5. But surely if house prices in London are failing now , the mansion tax won't bring in the amounts they claim ?
  6. Nobody is getting the finances back in order , it's smoke and mirrors . They will all be adding to the debt but hoping growth will reduce the % of GDP . We will be swimming in debt come 2020 , whoever wins the election , it's just whether it'll be eye watering labour debt or massive Tory debt.
  7. I watched the game on sky and I felt Hesketh & Seager the stand out players ( except Target & Reed who are basically first team squad players) . However, I feel both of them are a bit lightweight at present and not quite ready for the first team. Gallagher looks physically capable and there's no doubt that was a good goal , but whether he's good enough is another thing. Personally I don't go in for all this " give the kids a chance " for the sake of it. One great thing about Ron is that if they're ready and we need them, they play. But he doesn't do it just for the sake of it. If you play 6 or 7 nippers in the cup, they're not really playing first team football, but playing for the U21's in a first team competition. Reed & Targetts first team experience this season has been playing in the first team, with the first team and that's better for their development than just giving them a game because they're young. How do they react to playing with internationals , to bollockings from senior players, to being under pressure for points in front of a full house? The Everton game convinced me that Reed has got what it takes, it was a proper game , under pressure and he did well. Had thast been an FA cup game playing with 6 other nippers, it wouldn' t have told us much.
  8. But not about our children , grand children and their children. Your " caring " society just want to kick the debt can down the road and burden future generations. Its generational theft . In times of peace and relative prosperity each generation should only spend what it generates.
  9. One result of the establishments open door immigration policy is that the poor unfortunates presently risking their lives in the med will not be treated as they should. Seeing as the west basically contributed to the mess in Libya , we owe it to these people to look after them before putting a permanent fix in place. We have helped Ugandans & boat people ect in the past . However, our disastrous immigration policy , letting large numbers of these people settle is toxic for any political party. Can't people see that these people are far more deserving of a new life than citizens of other NATO & EU countries.
  10. The main difference is Real Ale is drunk by real men and the fizzy shiete is drunk by fairies and chicks .
  11. Watching the Newcastle game and it's starting to **** me off . They keep going on about this " stay away " protest , but they never mention the bestest " stay away " protest . 234,000 staying away since May '08
  12. Plus we're more likely to finish above them if they're in the cup final . Top 4's gone so any slight knocks they'll leave people out and players may try and protect themselves . Only downside is the Stevie G love in and Brenda's smug arrogance
  13. Dear Mods, I would like to confess to multi log in. Please can you delete my Saint Charlie account and I promise I'll stick to this one in future.
  14. You can't have a voting system that will ever deliver the exact % of influence for votes cast , as it'll mean vast areas if the country not having a voice. If 10% of the popular vote gave you 10% of the mp's , who is going to look after the interests of Cumbria , North Wales, Devon . You only need to look after London and a few other big cities and you'll win the election . The American president isn't elected by popular vote and that's a two horse race . The European elections seem to have a pretty decent system that seems a bit fairer , but the flaw is it's based on party lists , which concentrates control of mp's to the party . We will end up with even more yes men . Perhaps a uk FPTP parliament and a PR English parliament , although I'm sure in the interests of fairness the sweatys would want one as well, oh hang on!!!!!
  15. You can reduce the gap between rich and poor by lowering the wealth of the rich and leaving the poor as poor. Personally I couldn't care less about how rich people are ( provided they've acted legally) or what the gap is, its irrelevant. The only thing that matters is the wealth of the bottom 20%.
  16. I'm not conflating anything . The Establishment wants FPTP votes. The Establishment think we're "better together" . If the sweatys send enough SNP MPs to Westminster and they hold the balance of power because of FPTP, that's as legitimate as any other coalition . Unionists seem to want to pick and mix parts of the union .
  17. Speaking as someone who wanted and still wants the Sweatys to sling their hooks ( and that daft welsh bird can go as well) I find the whole SNP in government scare stories laughable. The establishment wanted them in , we were " better together " . If you believe in the union , then you must believe in the Sweatys right to influence , mould and even run that Union . It's incoherent to claim otherwise . The establishment support FPTP, the establishment think we are " better together" , but when their voting system produces influence from people they campaigned to be part of our country look like forming part of the government , it's dangerous . **** sake who are these clowns ?
  18. Its not a view, you can argue over a view. It is a fact. We did not have a vote on any form of PR
  19. It isn't a form of pr , let alone the " exact one" I want.
  20. Was it before or after the AV vote?
  21. Must of. When was the referendum on pr
  22. Its nothing to do with tighter scrutiny , its to do with FPTP. You know the system the lib/dumbs pledged to get rid for PR until they got seduced by Tory offers of minister's salaries and limos .
  23. I completely and utterly agree with this. All the time its them whinging on about their lives. I'm not interested , stand for election , otherwise stfu and let me listen to people who are.
  24. Adam Boulton claims that he spoke to 3 of the questioners last night and 2 said they felt the audience was not representative and one claimed she was never even asked what her politics were. Interesting that it was not the normal QT people that the BBC use, but another company . Listening to the Spectator podcast this morning Hardman claimed that it was representative , but that lefties " clap louder" . She also said every politician says privately that the studio audience doesn't matter, but only Nigel would say so in front of them. You're right, it will not have hurt Farage in the slightest. The audience whether balanced or not presented him with an opportunity and he took it. Interesting that Portillio , who is no fan of Nigel said on " This Week" that Nigel was the only participant living in the real world. Ed got shifted to the left and the others just wanted to spend spend spend spend.
