  1. I showed my class after the game, by turning to my mate and laughing, before saying "how the **** did we get away with that". I dont think Warnock did any thing wrong, most people watching would have thought the same.
  2. I'm surprised Adkins didn't resign over this. I've no doubt he wanted to tell Jewell to **** off and that Read is interfering by telling him to **** off first. Telling another club to **** off when they make a bid for your top players is most certainly the Managers job. Could you see SAF accepting anyone else telling Swansea to **** off if they bid for Wayne Rooney. Adkins needs to grow a pair and tell Read " I do the **** offing round here".
  3. This thread has run into god knows how many pages, has contained as many twists and turns as an Agatha Christie tale, but still continues to surprise and shock me. It's done the same again this afternoon. Posters saying that Westwood seems a decent bloke away from football, surely this is the most far fethched part of the whole saga.
  4. I was able to get a couple on Sunday, but this has been a right cock up. They should have said from the word go that it was only for 2 days.
  5. I was shouting at the radio for Keys or Gray to ask Storrie about the "coincidence" that Chinny and Gayder's daddy had history. I also wanted them to ask if Al mirage was a real person. Very poor interview, allowed Storrie-Teller off the hook. Much more interesting was the Press pass last night on the same station. Des Kelly said "we all know what was going on at Portsmouth and the real reason people got involved, but in view of Talksport lawyers, we better leave it." or word to that effect (I'd had a few by then)
  6. It's a win win for me. Skates win or draw and I'll congratulate my Skate mate and text him my thanks. Lose and I'll text him, "going down with no money in the bank"
  7. I agree, I thought he panicked and with a little bit of composure could have cleared to ball further up the line.
  8. I would have taken 7 points from this week, but now the toughest is out of the way, will be really dissapointed with anything less than the maximum. To go to Leeds, on TV, Warnocks first home game, play poorly and still win was a massive massive result. I've no doubt the players will be thinking the same, this is a great opportunity and bearing a Kelvin like performance from Ipswich or Barnsley keeper, can not see us slipping up. Leicester at home is a bannana skin for Reading. Looking at our remaining fixtures, ww should really cross that line.
  9. I would have thought the ability to spell was quite important when producing a newspaper. Not doing so does hint at a lack of professionalism ( and before anyone says anything, my spelling is awful, but I dont write for a newspaper).
  10. Spooky, I was thinking the very same thing whilst watching MoTD last night.
  11. I dont know the answer to that, I would think that the new CVA will be under the new laws. However is there anything stopping the FL/FA bringing in new rules in return for the golden share. What potential investers(if there are any) wont want is uncertainty. Although on paper the football creditors rule being abolished looks good for them, I dont think it is. It may wipe a lot of debt, but who on earth is going to sign for them.No clubs will offer any sort of transfer terms or want to deal with them. Well run, finacially viable clubs will hoover up all the better palyers.
  12. I think Cork's been off his game for a couple of months now, he's been a bit inconsistant. Chaplow is still getting back from an injury, he'll need time to get back to what he was.
  13. I agree with you, I also despair whether people know anything about football. Anybody who things Harding is "better defender" clearly does not. Harding is out of his depth at this level. Fox is not "marginally better" than Harding, but a different class. Harding would not get into any side in the top 2/3rds of this league, whereas there aren't many better than Fox.
  14. Harding is my scapegoat, he is useless and not up to it IMO. I would play Richardson or Butterfield on the left (with the other playing RB) before playing him.
  15. No, I never said that. I just think they'll go up and with a few points to spare.
  16. Let's face it West Ham are going up. I listened to the start of their game on the way home from my game this moring and Steve Claridge said that with the squad and quality they have, they should be a shoe in and be 10 points clear by now.I agree with him.Personally I think it's West Ham plus us or Reading.
  17. Got mine, used my mates numbers and my credit card. Only problem is they're not sending out, so have to get them before Sat's game, which will delay entry to the pub.Not going to try before KO as the queue could be pretty bad.......
  18. LOL, Durham just playing Goddnight Vienna for the Skates. Also said Forset's last game of the season is Skates, could be sat at home watching relegation battle but cant do anything about it...........
  19. I thought he said because of the timescales someone would have to come forward within a couple of weeks, not that a deal needed to be concluded in a couple of weeks. Mind you I have a hosue full of brats, so maybe misheard.
  20. Birch-The biggest issue is the operating costs, not the previous owners demands. Contracts still in force next season killing them.
  21. Birch on Talksport-This could be the one. If no buyer comes forward by the summer, that's it, it's all over.
  22. The way I'm reading this, the old CVA people aren't getting paid and will have to take a % of the original CVA %. Good luck with trying to get them all to vote for a new CVA. Does anybody kinow how much debt is owed under the old CVA and what % is that of the new debt?
  23. Birch said it was touch and go if they would make the end of season, when they thought they had the £2.2mil parachute money. Now that's gone, is it too simplistic to say that someone needs to come up with that as a minimum, and that's just to get back to the "touch and go" situation. The only hope they've got is if a Leon Croch type is willing to give away £2.2 million, or one of Chinny or Gayder works out that keeping them going is in their best interests. Even if that happens they have to get past Birch. Surley we're reaching the end game now.
  24. Headline news story on Talk Sport-unless there is a "significant event" they will not complete the season.Said they were told by Birch, and "more about this story, as it devolops".
