According to the Office for National Statistics, last year "The average public sector worker was paid £23,660 a year, compared with average private sector workers who were paid £21,528 a year."

I would back us to beat any side over 2 legs and would back us to beat any side in a one off at OT. I think we'll finish second, but if we dont, will win the play offs.

In the interests of equality I would like to see a show where a fit female parades around in front of 30 blokes. Problem is there would be 30 lights left on, no matter what she said or did.

Not much chance and certainly not before the end of the season.

Rubbish, Blair used to answer questions that hadn't even been asked. He would never answer the direct question put to him. This was a tactic he often used when put under pressure in interviews as well. As for Brown, his budget speeches were the most dishonest I've seen in following these things for 30 odd years. Bad news was always burried away in the Red book, where he hoped it would remain until the news agenda had moved on. He was also an expert on Fiscal drag. Budgets need to be looked at after a few days, but one thing that strikes me stright away is that after 13 years of a Labour Govt the wealthy were flying around without paying APD, but us working class mugs had to pay it on our cheap holiday flights.

A month ago had I been offered 7 points from Colchester, Boscombe and Charlton away, I'd have taken it.

Plus 2 home games in a row to get back on track after last nights draw.Hopefully Bristol Rovers can do us a favour, but I cant see Huddersfield or MK slipping up, but you never know.

Because Solent seemed obsessed with recalling Puncheon last night...
Lord Duckhunter replied to The9's topic in The Saints
Dont know if this has been posted on here, but here's the interview. Pretty obvious that Puncheon finished at the club. http://audioboo.fm/boos/309941-saints-manager-nigel-adkins-talks-about-the-injuries-to-adam-lallana-alex-chamberlain-the-possibilty-of-jason-puncheon-returning-to-the-club?utm_campaign=detailpage&utm_content=retweet&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter -
If Rupert was there and took time out to speak to some of the supporters, then fair play to him.As long as he isn't contemplating a comeback in any shape of form then what's the issue? He didn't delebrately **** things up, and I've seen plenty of useless players given decent receptions before. He's like an exwife. You get all bitter and twisted towards the end of the marriage and during the divorce, but when you end up with a fitter younger bird then it isn't going to bother you any more.

It's all down to results, nothing else. If he keeps getting them, he'll be a loveable eccentric, if he doesn't he'll be a clown who cant speak correctly. WGS was funny and amusing because he won games for us, I'm sure the Boro fans found him a pain in the arse. I quite like the bloke to be honest, better than Pardew and Wotte who both came across as arrogant. Certainly better than George Burley or a bored Harry Redknapp.

I wont give money to Comic relief or Children in need, in fact I will go out of my way to aviod it. Why dont the BBC run an evening of programmes around Remembrance Sunday with all proceeds going to Help for heroes or RBL. I suppose that's not trendy enough for the stars. By 2014 Britain's overseas aid bill will be £12.6 billion, that's nearly £500 a year from every family in this Country.Do we really need state television begging people to part with more of their hard earned money, when there are pensioners and war vets struggling to make ends meet. I also fail to see how anything involving Lenny Henry and James Corden can contain "comic" in the name.

I hope all the speculation turns his head slightly. I'm hoping that Norwich get promoted with 3 games left, and he starts to think that any injury could ruin his Premiership chance for the following season,so he starts to pull out of tackles take it easy and devolops a "groin strain", at the vital stage of the season. Is that too much wishful thinking?

Looks like he's staying put. Sorry if already posted elsewhere. http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2318271,00.html

I think we have to win all our home games and hopefully we'll get enough points on the road to sneak up. Although they're unbeaten this year Huddersfield are not convincing, my mates a supporter and he was more confident last year. Peterbourough are the ones to watch, but then Boscombe were a month a go. I just wish we could put a bit of pressure on Brighton a couple of slip ups with them still to play and we'll see what they are made of. As Adkins said on saturday they are so near and yet so far. They aren't as good as Leeds were and they had an awful finish to last season.

Driving on the right (i.e. left) side of the road
Lord Duckhunter replied to bridge too far's topic in Motoring Forum
Australia and Ireland do. I remember my old man telling me that in the '50's there was talk of us switching over, but the cost was too much. -
The worst cover I've ever heard is Sting's version of Bob Dylan's moving "I Shall Be Released". A truely dire upbeat version of one of Dylan's greatest. Richard Manuel who Dylan first gave it to sing, must have been turning in his grave.

I'm going to play it to the kids to warn them about the dangers of too much weed.

Sorry, but I just dont rate him. Too one paced and lightweight for me.
-
They've picked up a bit lately winning 3 in a row, so I wouldn't be unhappy with a PP, then playing them once their form dips again.

I just hope that all Saints fans behave themselves. The press are going to have a field day at our expense if there's any trouble. No matter what the circumstances are, painting us as the bad guys will make a better story.

And This Bloke Is Supposed To Be A Saints Fan
Lord Duckhunter replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
I have a mate who works in a National Press agency and NC is hated with a passion by the local boys (The nationals dont really care less in League 1). The press have an overinflated opinion of their importance in the game (look at things like Sunday Supplement, on Sky). NC has hurt their massive egos and combine that with Eddie Mitchell's nonsense has led to this stupid article. This clown is sucking up to Mitchell, his press buddies and Boscombe's supporters......... -
Most would stay the same under AV, if you're in a solid Labour area, it'll remain so. The electrol reform Society produced some research into what Parliament would look like under AV and it was a coalition, with the Tories having a handful of seats less. The only way for your vote to mean anything in a solid Labour area is under a purer form of PR and that is not on the table.

"A system that has let them enjoy jobs for life in safe seats. A system that has bred the complacency we all saw in the expenses scandal." I'm sorry but this is total ********, talk about dishonest politics. If the "complacency" of the FPTP system led to the expenses scandal, then I presume the PR system used for European elections accounts for the expenses abuses in the EU. If people think Westminister expenses were bad they are nothing compared to what the EU get up to.This women cant have it both ways, if she going to claim FPTP led to expenses scandel in UK, then PR has led to it in Europe.
