That's just not true though. RH- Win % 41.94, no honours KD Win % 47.95, 1 Carling cup. KD may be an average manager this time around, but in what way did RH do better?

This one about Shearer did make me laugh. "I'd take it off Hansen and @GaryLineker but not from that bell, same fella that stamped on Neil Lennon, then threatened FA if they banned him"

He's a complete ******, and will remain so (unless he signs for us)

The funniest thing was when he heard the tape in the Radio 2 studio. He had his head in his hands and looked a broken man. Next thing he's hanging around her garden like some sort of stalker. Loved his attempt at a smile, a smile that looked like Jack Nicholson's Joker.

At the end of the day both events were linked to the terrible troubles at football in the 70's and 80's. There is no point in getting sanctimonious about it. There were dozens of clubs whose supporters would have charged other supporters, and the Semi Final tradegy could have happened to any club. Scousers turned up ****ed, without tickets and all at once. Well so did most club's supporters. The issue with the 96 is the sense of injustice, the way it was reported and the cover up that occured afterwards. had the same thing happend at one of our 80's semi finals, I'm damn sure we'd be feeling the same way.

1. Bally- Should have stayed, fitted the club. Great knowledge, enthusiasm and was loved by the fans. Great ride for 18 months, whether it would have lasted, who knows? 2. WGS, mainly because he got us to a cup final and a decent league placing. 3. Hoddle-Was at his best for us, but has done nothing of note since. Messed up for England when he really could have been fantastic. Strange bloke. The bloke I feel sorry for was Chris Nicholl, did a pretty decent job, but following Lawrie was an impossible task. Shows how great Lawrie was, the hardest job in football is replacing a legend and he replaced Ted and took us to another level. If Nigel does half as well as Lawrie, he'll do for me...............

NC's vision of the club is very similar to what Lowe's was, Imho. The big difference is that NC is the real deal and Lowe was a bit 2 bob. As soon as they came to the club ML & NC spent big (in League 1 terms), to give us a boost. There was no pussy footing around, Wotte was out and a big manager (again in League 1 terms ) was in. After that intial hit of money, we've spent carefully and built solid foundations.Lowe would never have taken that step, and spent money on Lambert ect. The whole set up now is pretty much as Lowe would have wanted, and I do wonder what he is thinking now. That's not to say Lowe was good, his vision was good, but he cocked it up in practise. NC "seems" to be putting into practise.

I feel our journey has made me appricate the other side of football. I've enjoyed the days out, and meeting dedicated passionate supporters of smaller clubs. I felt our first couple of season's down, some of our supporters had a Billy Big ******** attitude, with a "we're here for the season" attitude. I honestly feel that our journey has given us a bit of humility. We had a whole generation of support that only knew the Premiership. In the long run it was good that Lowe, Crouch and Wilde moved on, and it's great what we have now. But, it could of been so very different. League 1 was ok for 2 seasons, but after that the club would have stagnated and become a very misreable place. The graet thing was clearly moving stright through the NPC, because that is a bloody hard league to get out of.

I wonder what the big mouth MP makes of this, has anyone got her email address?

I think St Mary's is in a cracking place and much prefer city centre grounds. Only time will tell if we need to expend to 40,000. Personally, I would like us to and feel we need to. Train station is a no go as far as I'm concerned. By the time I've queued up to get on the train, I could have walked to Central and had a pint on the way. Traffic is an issue, but surely it's the council's job to find a solution to that, Maybe park and ride, I dont know. But surely it's in everyone's interests for an extra 8,000 people to come into the city every home game. 3 or 4 times a season my Mrs and Daughter come up with us and go shopping whilst we're at the game, and I'm sure others are the same. I love away days in London and other city centre grounds, far more than grounds built in the middle of nowhere. Provided we get the away fans in and out safely, the city should welcome supporters with open arms. How much revenue do supporters bring into the cities pubs and food outlets each Sat? The only supporters that will have issues are ones that want to come in, watch football and drive stright home. The rest can go to pubs, for something to eat, and make their own way home at different times. The way I look at it, if you want to rush home and sit in traffic, that's your decision. The people shopping ect and not attending the match, must know what time the game ends and leave the City accordingly. Long term, I would love the council and the club to work together and devolop the area around the stadium. It could keep Marcus' family interested as I'm sure they will be a lot of money to be made if that happens. But, at the end of the day people line NC know far more about it than us, and I trust the guy to deliver what is best for the club.

Green is out of contract at the end of the season and last week some papers were saying he's available on a free. As for the football creditors rule, there was an agent on Talksport the other day, who said that if it comes in then players will not sign for clubs that aren't run correctly. They only sign for clubs like Skates because they know they'll get their money come what may. Dopey Skates may think it's good news if the creditors rule goes, but good luck with signing any half decent players.

Thanks for the answers, but I've tried both those solutions and neither worked. Someone told me it maybe something to do with winsock, so I'm googling that now.

Hi, I was hoping someone could help me. My Nipper's netbook wont connect to the internet and it always used to. It is not the wirelss connection because other devices are ok, and the wired desk top works ok. It shows as connected, but with limmited connectivity. It then says it cannot renew the IP address. I have googled it and gone through the start/run/config route, but still no joy. When I plug the ethernet cable directly into it, it works, but as soon as I unplug it, it goes back to not able to renew the ip address. Has anyone got a solution? Thanks in advance.

NC has not put a foot wrong with any football decisions since he joined the Club. From getting rid of Wotte, through to employing Nigel, he's been sure fotted and right every time. Therefore, I have trust in his judgement and his ambitions. CL is obviously a bit of a pipe dream, but what's the harm in aiming high. There's no reason that we could not be a Fulham or Stoke in 3 years time, no chance of relegation and pushing for a cup or an Europa League spot each year. Pushing on from there looks unlikely, but who knows what's round the corner. I dont think anyone is saying we will be a top 4 team, year in year out. But there's no reason why we couldn't do a Newcastle or Everton one year and overachieve and get close. Who would have thought Newcastle under Mike ashly could have done so well after selling Nolan and Carrol (and yes I know they're a bigger club than us). Provided we're quiet about it and dont embarress ourselves, I think it's good that our Chairman wants to aim for the top.

Their blind loyalty to King Kenny is exactly the same as ours to Matt Le God, no difference what so ever. Same with Hillsborough, had the same thing happened to us at Villa Park in '03, I'm pretty sure we'd react in the same way.As for Suarez, every club defends the indefensable. Didn't we sing that Bradley Wright Philiips robs from the Skates. Once you start using a Man Utd fan in your arguement against Liverpool, it's not really objective is it. I bet there's plenty of Skates who can point to threads or posters on here, and laugh with their friends who support someone else.

When I was a teenager I was hitching from Glasgow to Liverpool because I wanted to see Penny Lane and places to do with The Beatles. A guy gave me a lift and asked where I was staying (as it was late). Said no idea, as I had little money. He then put me up for the night. He was on the way back from the hospital after visiting his wife who had complications in pregnacy. I remember sitting there drinking with him, thinking he could be a sausage jockey or a nonce, and here was I, a fresh faced 17 year old, he'd never met before. Yet, he was great , a few cans of beer, a bed for the night, a breakfast in the morning and then he dropped me off at the bus stop.

We need to keep singing it, when on TV. Much better than "are you watching" which everyone does. I like it, because you can jig around a bit to it,but love the fact that we've thrown it back at them. It's such a better version than there's, WTFILN hits the nail on the head, whereas they didn't send us down, Man Utd did. I hope we keep singing it.

If there is a membership scheme, then we can be pretty certain that it'll be S/T holders followed by members. If there's no membership, then it'll remain a shambles on a match to match basis.

God, I do hope this thread has become a wind up, because I'd hate to think there really are such ignorant posters amongst our fan base. Talk about typical Scousers has to be some kind of joke. It is a massive, diverse area with all sorts of people. Criminals, scroungers, decent people, friendly people, muppets, chavs, hard working family people. In fact it's a bit like Southampton really, I've meet some right planks from Southampton. On the whole I have found the Scousers I've met to be second only to Dubliners in terms of friendship and hospitality, but then I've never meet a "typical Scouser", just dozens of different people from Liverpool. I really dont recongnise the picture painted on here. They have a sense of community and family that just does not exist in other areas.I would much rather spend an evening in the pub with a few scousers, than some of the bores on here. PS, I presume Rickie Lambert doesn't qualify as a "typical Scouser" because he plays for us.

I like people from Liverpool, having worked abroad with dozens of them. The ones I know are loyal, hard working, funny and very generous people. I have stayed with their families before Saints games, and their hospitality has been unbelievable. I certainly dont recongnise the picture of them some of our posters have painted on here. If 96 Saints fans had died as a result of incompetance, if we had suffered 20 years of cover up and false accusations about that day, I'm pretty sure we'd be pretty bitter about it. FFS people moan about a £3 sales charge like it's the end of the world. It seems like we can moan about "ticket tax", people dressing up, and people singing OWTS too quickly, yet they complain about the death of their brothers, sisters, Dads and fellow supporters and they're told to stop being victims. As for the National Anthem, I refuse to sing it. It's a dirge, that has had it's day. I refuse to sing about some old dear that "reins over me" on the basis that her family maimed and killed our forefathers.

I wodder what some of our fashion guru's reckon of this. Personally, I think it's funny and original. Well played Mr Rodgers. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/football-news/2012/05/07/swansea-city-boss-brendan-rodgers-urges-fans-to-dress-like-elvis-presley-91466-30918390/
