Did they say who they thought was player of the season?
-
I find this offensive tbf, a lot of women say that about orn, how little they know.
-
It just goes to show you can't be too careful!
-
Yes, NickG was is another in a long list posting to get behind Tommy Widdrington. To be honest this groundswell of support has caught me by surprise and although I was a neutral in all of this before, I say what the hell, give the fans who they want as this could really bring everyone together. I see it's on wikipedia that he's one of the favourites now as well. No smoke without fire imo.
-
Wow, another vote for Widdrington! I too think he can achieve for s.f.c. and this rumour really seems to be gathering speed. Mods, should this thread not be re-named as I think we all know Armstrong isn't really in the running? Where-as Widdrington seems to be getting mentioned again and again. No smoke without fire.
-
Wow, there will always be a few pessimists won't there? This isn't Shearer we're talking about, this is Tommy Widdrington. I wouldn't say he is out of our reach. Saints haven't sunk so low that we can only dream the likes of him will come. His passion for Saints would bring him here. Just think if the Leicester board hadn't gone for Pearson because they had been called "dreamers", where might they be now? Sometimes you just have to reach for the stars.

Just got back from Easter holiday in the mountains. It's a shame to see there's been no progress but it's really exciting to see the buzz on the board about two former Saints stars being linked to the job. Although both could do a job, I'd certainly favour Widdrington over Armstrong with his experience. It's nice to see so many fans united on an issue for once. Surely Widdrington would be far cheaper than 2 Dutch coaches? We let Pearson slip through our fingers, if we don't grab upcoming stars like Widdrington then somebody else will. Look at Leicester and tell me I'm wrong.
-
Be careful taking the ****, those few treating this like it's some big joke. Any one of those on that list might look at this forum, (it's happened before) and see you making fun of their names. I know it's unlikely but it would be a shame if a few flippant comments put them off. Respect that this is a main board thread, lads. Any of those on that list could be "the one".
-
Thanks eurosaint. I'm actually surprised we're getting a mention in so many countries, but it has to be helping our chances. This is actually making me quite optimistic about finding a good buyer. I tried googling a couple but haven't found anything much out, do you think any of them have the funds to sort us out properly?
-
I'm trying to work out why your opinion of the match needed a separate thread to everyone else's.
-
LOL, any scrap of credibility has now vanished into the ether. Nice one, looney.
-
I think it's already become clear that you are. Your views are paranoid and extreme, three pages now show that you and Stanley (confesses NF marcher, Hitler sympathist and BNP voter) are in a minority of two in this fairly random sample of people. On the fringe, at the extreme.
-
As said before, the good thing about this kind of thread is that it shows that dangerous extremists like gingeletiss are truly on the looney fringe and in the minority.
-
I'm pretty sure that would be illegal unless it's officially registered. Think about it, anyone could grab a bucket and say they were collecting for Saints, then just walk home with a bucket full of cash. It's a nice idea, but you can get into serious trouble for stuff like that.
-
Ironically, the man who thinks we should be stricter against people who make protests he finds offensive, has almost certainly been banned for making offensive comments. It's what he would've wanted.
-
Stanley wanted it but is currently banned. What is he doing with all of his fear and hatred now I wonder. I sort of imagine him just staring angrily at his PC in the safety of his fortified shelter.
-
Maybe if I'd just returned from Iraq, fighting a war that was supposed to be against oppression, in theory bringing democracy and freedom of speech (and protest) to other countries, I'd be a bit disappointed if back in Britain there were people like you trying to stop people's right to freedom of speech and expression. You're actually complaining about the very rights those people are fighting for. It sounds to me like you would prefer to live in a more oppressive state where the government came down harder on protesters and tried to censor the opinions of people with alternative views. In western society we're welcome to protest and speak out when we disagree with how things are nbeing done. If you have a problem with this, I suggest YOU go and find a less tolerant country to go and live in.
-
How do you feel that the cross-section of British people who have posted here would rather that paranoid, hate-filled people like you were removed from Britain than the average immigrant?
-
Threads like this make me happy as it shows me that however it may sometimes seem, hate-filled fools like Stanley are a minority, firmly in the lunatic fringe. This board often seems to be filled with people whose views on politics are so idiotically simplistic that they call anyone with a right wing opinion a nazi and anyone with a left wing opinion a tree-hugging commie. Are there really people out there who can't understand the thinking behind both views and can't just accept that it's then just a simple question of preference? Thank God there's only one as afraid of the world as Stanley.

Been playing the 10 over version of that here. http://www.mousebreaker.com/games/topspinner/playgame but can't get past 169

This thread isn't anything.

http://www.businesswritingblog.com/business_writing/2006/01/greetings_and_s.html Try googling salutations, this one's quite good, but there are probably other sites that say other things.

Under the circumstances you've described, you must use Ms. and the last name. Madam is absolutely incorrect as marital status is not known. Miss is incorrect for the same reason. It's best not to use the full name as you don't know her, but it is actually acceptable in a formal letter to use Dear and the person's first name only if it's been given to you.

I have a good recipe for hubris, much better than the one they sell at Tesco.
