The truth is that neither are up to it at this level but for different reasons. Roll on Jan 1st.
-
Anything would have been a bonus and in truth we were lucky to still be in at at half time. Second half we improved but passed the ball poorly when in half decent areas. What Mayuka has to do to even get on the pitch for 15 minutes I just don't know - he would have been a better option that Jay Rodriguez at that stage of the game.
-
The problem is who you bring in instead - Jos isn't mobile enough. We just have to limp on until January.
-
Battered and lucky to be only 1-0. Sometimes we need to hoof the ball out of defence rather than trying tippy tappy stuff. Oh and our left hand side is totally exposed as per most games this season.

Trust Share Benefits: The overriding benefit is a collective one, that together we can take control of our football club. Alongside that aim we are working on a range of benefits to reward supporters who invest between £1,000 and £20,000 through shares in PST: • Discounted season ticket options for the 2013-14 season and beyond • Discounted half-season ticket option for season 2012-13 • Discount on function room hire at the club • Exclusive shareholder pin badge • Your name inscribed in an exclusive ‘wall of fame’ to be erected at Fratton Park • Frameable individually numbered share certificate • Special priority draws - including for every home match a draw to be a ‘VIP for a Day’ • Exclusive Pre-season ‘open day’ at Fratton Park for all shareholders, including meet the players, PST team and Club Management Team • Free membership of PST In addition, where a vote is held at a meeting of members of PST on any question relating to; • issuing more share capital in Portsmouth Community Football Club Limited • transfer of shares in Portsmouth Community Football Club Limited the Board of PST will not act on any vote unless it has been passed by the requisite majority of all members and the requisite majority of community shareholders. £1000 for a pin badge, which is pretty much the only tangible benefit, seems excessive. At least it is an "exclusive" one. I see that they are also offering discounted season tickets to those that pledge - I wonder how that equates with their model of sustainability?

I can't see us selling anybody until the summer when we know what league we will be in, especially those already out on loan. If we sold the "Championship" quality players in Jan and then got relegated we would in effect need to go out and re-sign players of a similar standard. Saints have effectively taken out an insurance policy against relegation by only loaning these players out. Of course, we could have 30+ points by the end of January and the landscape changes (here's hoping!).

Property Development Trust Statement re. Court Case: http://www.pompeytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=475%3Apst-welcomes-news-of-early-court-hearing-date&catid=34%3Ademo-category I particularly like, "We are very encouraged by the initial response to the share offer. There is a steady stream of pledges and new purchases of shares arriving hourly; so many that we haven’t been able to count them yet". So that will be about 5 then. As a general observation they look and sound increasingly desperate and amateurish.

Next 2 games - Coventry and Tranmere away.

Attendance 9955. Packing the park again.

I can think of no reason why AP would not get a good reception - started us off on the journey to the Prem and gave us a great day out at Wembley - a real watershed moment even if it was "just" the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. After some pretty bad times he instilled some positivity back into the club. Anyone that boos Pardew is an idiot.
-
Watched on stream and thoroughly deserved 3 points - it would have been a travesty if we hadn't come away with the win. Great movement up front and Cork, Lallana and Puncheon exceptional.
-
Lambert 80/1 for a hat-trick - stupidly optimistic I know but meh why not!

When you have 8 kids and only 1 train set there is a sense of inevitability about the outcome.

I am sure that Merson has poured over the projected financials in fine detail, being such an obviously intelligent individual, before throwing his weight behind the trust. "Back the....err what's it called again Jeff?"
-
Agreed, I voted for the independent candidate - purely on the basis that politics should have nothing to do with being a police commissioner.
-
Allen wouldn't answer any questions about this yesterday which imo tells its own story - the FL should be consistent in their treatment of financial irregularity and that would mean a significiant points penalty.
-
And you obviously never saw Ali Dia - a more awkward, 50p headed, aimlessly running around performance it would be difficult to find.
-
He reminded me of Ali Dia tonight, I genuinely mean that.

Morgan lacks heart.

If Godot ever turns up he'll be another bent Russian arms dealer.

Thats because they play 3 at the kiosk, 4 in the back room and 3 in the post room. It leaves the post room too exposed meaning they are making mistake after mistake.
-
Which is exactly what happened at Everton - often our full backs were two against one - naive, ridiculous and the same mistakes have been repeated almost every game. Nigel has said we won't change the way we play away from home. On that basis we will concede at least 3 every away game.
-
Reserves or not, the tactics and substitutions have been an utter shambles all season. Sorry Nige, thanks for two wonderful seasons but it is clear that this level is beyond you, time for a change to give us at least a chance of staying up.

Good for him to get Championship experience, ready for next season.....
