We can get something from Everton at home - Reading beat them so no reason why we can't. -

I wonder if he will inexplicably slate Boruc again this week? -

Massive win - I've aged about 10 years. -
The game is there for the taking - Villa are poor - one more goal and I just can't see them getting back into it. The only chances they are getting is when we are inexplicably panicking.

The beginning of the end imho.

A bloke who refused to work as it was 8am starts

That has to be a wind up? If it's not then that bloke is everything that is wrong with this country - these lazy b*stards shouldn't be allowed to abuse the system and the system is wrong for allowing them to do it. -

What did Boruc do that was bad, he wasn't at fault for any of the goals. -

Boruc didn't have a chance with any of the goals - listened to Merrington on Solent and have to say I thought his comments were completely unjustified - but probably designed to appeal to the masses. -
We may even need 2 depending on the severity of the injury.

Has anyone in the history of these threads got all the results correct?

Aren't commentators supposed to be neutral? This is like one of those fanszone commentaries. -

Yep we look like we can be competitive against the top sides. Bit more midfield muscle would be nice. -

We could really do with a couple of players that can tackle. -
"When PFC was last relegated to the third tier it took us seven seasons to return to our 'default' level (ie the one where we've spent most seasons) which is the second tier. That would seem to be a realistic timeframe to work towards this time around, although football does tend to concertina ups and downs more these days. I disagree with you about players. PFC will be the biggest opportunity many decent lower league players will have in their lives. Pompey will be the chance to play in, probably, League 2 at a club which won the FA Cup five years ago and gets gates of 10,000+. In League 2, only Bradford or arguably Plymouth, get remotely close to offering the 'football' career opportunity we present. Whether we will be able to afford to fight off the likes of, say , bankrolled Fleetwood to sign those players is another matter. By all means talks our prospects down, but I'd beware the self-fulfilling prophecy..." Posted by Colin Farmery on one of their message boards. They continue to still really think they are something - the only reason they are attractive now is because of the stupid wages that they continue to pay. I am actually thinking that the PST taking over would be good for this thread and allow many more years of enjoyment.

Really good article - well written and researched.

If we can combine the football we played in spells against Man Utd with the battling and closing down we displayed against Stoke then we are in with a chance.

Would have taken a point all day long before the game but have be disappointed after being 3-1 up and 3-2 up against 10 men. Fine margins, Guly puts the ball in at 3-1 and its all over. Credit to Stoke they put us under enormous pressure and made it look as if we had the 10 men which is disappointing really. A commanding GK would have helped take the pressure off but Kelvin flapped at pretty much everything - we must buy in January.

Thought we'd get battered today - will be happy to eating humble pie in 45 mins hopefully.
