Guthrie not better than Hammond? Not even in the same class.

Lol Alpine will spin in his grave (if he was dead). No doubt he will use it as the reason why we haven't concluded all of transfer business by the end of July.

One person's cool concept is another's break with tradition. It's a marmite kit. I do understand why the club have done it though (explained in a previous post).

The real thing isn't as nice as Itchen Dan's mock up imho.

I can assure you that the intention is not to wind anybody up or play the ITK game. I have passed on as much info as I feel comfortable with and without compromising either myself or someone else. It isn't always as black and white as you make out and colinjb makes a good point in a response to your post. The alternative is to say absolutely nothing but on balance I believe that most posters prefer knowing something than nothing.

If you read the whole thread then you can piece it together. More than one person on here has it spot on.

Beattie calls Luggy a fat ****** or vice versa? -
Apologies if this has been posted but it is well worth a read. When you read how the FA has shafted them it is f***ing scandalous how the DSB's have been allowed to get away with it so many times and for so long. http://www.darlofc.co.uk/news.php?NewsID=923

Didn't stand out. But then again if you are going to judge a player or team on 2 perfomances then Bristol City fans probably think Lallana and Lambert are a waste of space. I take far more stock in what I have read on the Burnley message boards from posters who watch him week in week out. I particulary liked this comment, "you're getting a player with a bit of everything. He's not the quickest, but I don't think I've ever seen a centre half (admittedly at Championship level) chase him down once he's got through one-on-one. He's not a physical beast, but he's getting stronger by the week, and by the end of last season before his injury he was beginning to bully defenders with his back to goal - the big development in his game last season IMO. And he's also as strong in the air in terms of directing good headers on goal as anyone I've seen at Burnley. His link up game is immaculate, his finishing is good, he's got a cracking shot from distance and he has a sublime cross-field ball in his locker. And he's still only 22".

Sounds like they are considering playing us, Celtic and Norwich : http://www.ajaxonline.org/ajax-media/28588-ajax-praat-over-engels-trainingskamp-met-duels-tegen-southampton-en-norwich?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=Tweetstart

I don't see why Lampitt should be deemed a football creditor and not for example someone that worked in the ticket office - would be interested to know how the League differentiate between the two - could open the floodgates for claims from redundant/existing employees perhaps?

There is PR and there is outright bull****. This statement is bull****.

doggface, if you frequent certain establishments then you will know that a dirty tease is often far more preferable to the reality when the lights go up (or on one such occasion after Angels Liverpool when they were in the kebab shop afterwards). As I have already said it is different to anything we had before and I am not sure whether the traditionalists will like it. I believe the club want it to be different so that all the "returning" fans can't simply wear their old striped kits from 2001-2009 which makes complete commercial sense. It will be out after the Euros I understand.
-
No connection, it is not the kit. I have seen the new home kit and have posted some bits elsewhere. Obviously I am not going to go down the same route as the Norwich fan and post any pictures or anything too specific online.
-
Ha, no not that either.

Tranquillo Barnetta perhaps.

Found this on one of the skate's sites: In today's Daily Telegraph. A British financier – set on putting the pomp back in Pompey – was blocked from buying Portsmouth FC by major creditor Balram Chainrai. Former Goldman Sachsbanker–turned–venture capitalist Brett De Bank has spent the past few weeks in talks with the Hong Kong–based businessman at Park Lane's InterContinental. Not forgetting the odd meeting held by Chainrai in the casino. But De Bank, a Portsmouth University graduate and regular at Fratton Park, has walked away after Chainrai, or Balu as he likes to be called, demanded payment of £16m for the stadium (valued at £5m to £6m) and multi–million pound bonuses. With liquidation looming, Balu then made a bid to buy the collapsed club out of administration. He's offered a company voluntary arrangement of 2p in the pound to unsecured creditors, whereas De Bank had proposed more than 7p. My man in the Pompey shirt said: "Balu refused to take a haircut on his investment. He plans to sell players, buy cheaper ones and run the business on its bare necessities." Let's give old Balu the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he'll invest in the long–term future of the club? Maybe not. As his business partner, Levi Kushnir, said: "We would like to be out not later than three years" – just after the last Premier League parachute payment to Portsmouth. This thread has a few years left in it yet

We don't need back ups we need better than what we haves.

Would hardly be the pace we are crying out for. -
Don't think it will be as they have already said it will be at SMS with the Olympic torch appearing too.

A bloody good one I would hope - I can't see any rationale for anything different. He put some pride back into the club and gave us a fabulous day out at Wembley after a dark few years.
