This thread shows why many on here simply don't understand much about football. Rooney is far from the greatest ever England player but this is still a wonderful achievement. You can criticize him for not performing in the major tournaments but surely no-one is more upset by that than himself. You cannot fault his effort, he always turns up for England when many cry off with a minor injury.

Have to agree with SOG on this. I have never thought of Walcott as a 'natural' footballer whereas I think Oxo is. I remember watching Oxo come on against Huddesfield for his debut in L1. After 5 mins I was thinking this kid will play for England. If Oxo had Walcott's pace and he was able to stay fit he would be world class.
