The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That's a surefire road to success. 'innit.

For those who think can/will finish higher than 8th this season
hutch replied to Rasiak-9-'s topic in The Saints
I can't follow your logic at all. If we're not doing well by January then don't improve the squad, and carry on as we are. But if we are doing well by January then replace some of the players that are doing well with new ones. Have I got that right? -
I don't think you need to blame either. Levy brought in a new coach with a track record of finishing eighth in the league, and they still have a good shot at finishing there or thereabouts.

I think he just uses made-up facts to prop up incorrect opinions. He would get on well here.

"The disparity is illustrated by the fact that the £30 million Southampton got for Shaw is almost as much as Stoke have received in transfer fees in their entire history."

Well done Les Reed and the Scouting department...

West ham obsessed with us? And stoke reaction to our team/season

It won't last. Carroll's nearly fit again. -
So the property developer isn't actually "giving" them anything. They're selling him some land that he needed for his Tesco plan. I can understand, though, why the board didn't think to mention that to the "shareholders". It's the sort of minor detail that can easily slip the mind. In a transparent sort of way.

Not if it went for affordable or social housing.

Sorry mate, my mistake. I thought you were having some parking problems.
-
Isn't buying a house on a narrow street and then complaining that there are parking problems a bit like buying a house in Hounslow and then moaning that you can hear aeroplanes in the background?

The bribe was to permit change of use classification and grant planning permission for retail. That's done now, so no more cash.

Nah, mate. That's a necktie. -
When Dr. Who tells you what's going to happen in the future you better pay attention.

Why don't we all just admit that we don't watch women's sporting competitions for the sporting excellence

Was interested to hear how pleased Rogers was with his team's performance. I'm sure that's just what the owner's empty pockets want to hear after the sh*tload they spent in the summer.

As you know, trousers, in his new era of total transparency we know absolutely everything there is to know about their current finances, and their future plans. So, and just educated guesswork here, but the know they were only getting tuppence ha'peny anyway from Robinson (and a bit of free land for car parking). Who knows (or cares) whether they will actually get the car park land, but my opinion is that they would have used the cash for repair and maintenance of "the Arena" so their cash flows will need to be amended a little bit, but nothing dramatic. They would, of course, deny that in spin-speak, because they've convinced the few that there is a new megadrome coming along soon.

...or windy.

So, who are they playing next then?

Never mind, you'll soon be 18

I'm not sure you got my drift BTT. If last year's borrowing was 6.1% up on the year before then surely the trend is improving? Although statistics was always my achilles heel.

Isn't the issue about the rate at which it is increasing. In real terms. In pounds, not as a percentage of Aunty Ethel's bingo winnings. p.s. not grinding any axes, I don't know the answer, I just think that's the real question.

As things stand at the moment, most "foreigners" that can get enough points will opt to go and live somewhere nicer than Britain. The UK gets what's left. That needs to be fixed. But it doesn't need UKIP to fix it. Changes to the "soft" benefits system, some of which are already in the pipeline, will address the inter-EU migration.
