Best league in world but probably worst officials - Warnock

The Austin goal against Watford is particularly galling when you see things like Sterling’s goal against Watford, I think, being given. Under current interpretations there is no way Yoshida should have been given offside. -

How was he? Did he do the classics? -

It wasn't the first time. We've played that formation away at Cardiff and against Derby, off the top of my head. It's good when you win the ball and break but you look vulnerable down the flanks. Against a good team we'd probably get stuffed playing like that.
-
Very lucky there. But it's Spurs so it was inevitable Spurs would Spurs it.

He's just gone off injured.

He probably got paid on time by Sunderland.

I don't know. Could have been very different. We could have been 3 down in the first half against Spurs and could have easily drawn today. Conversely, we could have got something at Old Trafford though. If you look at our performance level it's still pretty poor and there's a general lack of quality. What we have at the moment is commitment and well-drilled players. We're nowhere near the level we were when we finished 8th under Poch and Koeman. The squad is way too thin up front and we only have one right back.

Oh, absolutely. First thoughts were that pilot had been stitched up with a dodgy plane and was just doing his job but if those reports are true then he should have declined to take off regardless of the state of the plane. As you say, though, that’s not the only thing that stinks about this.
-
That team should be capable of scoring goals but you do worry about the defence. Need Rom and Hoj to protect the back 4. Hopefully we’re on the front foot from the off and taking it to Brighton.
-
Absolute disgrace really. That plane should never have taken off. Complete amateur hour. Someone needs to be held accountable, although it sounds like the pilot needs to shoulder a fair portion of the blame.
-
That’s why old people shouldn’t have been allowed to vote.

We're leaving in 13 days though.

That’s not cream in there. And it ain’t jam either. Triffic.

Do you think the poxy wage of £70somethingK is commensurate to the importance of the job or the skills required to do it well?
-
It says profits go to charity. The question is whether the saggy old c-flap got paid for fronting this or not.

They can’t help themselves. In what was, otherwise, an inoffensive article: Pompey, though, is a hotbed of football, there’s a different breed of player which comes out of this city. They are brought up to have that fantastic work-rate and never-say-die attitude.

The petition is completely irrelevant, unless you think online petitions are the way we should govern the country and it should carry more weight than the referendum. It would be meaningful if it got at least 17,000,000 verified separate votes from people who were entitled to vote last time. Clearly things are a mess though. I think the best way forwards from here is for May to conclude her deal won’t pass a further vote. That leaves her with no deal or permanent revocation of A50, neither of which she will want to execute. She must therefore resign and the EU must be asked for a further one year extension to allow for the Tories to elect a leader and then for a general election much later in the year to allow all parties to campaign on a clear mandate as to what they would do. If Tories and Labour can’t get their act together and offer a clear plan for Brexit then more fool anyone who votes for them. This doesn’t guarantee a decent outcome in a year but it at least opens up the possibility. Ideally an independent or cross-party commission on the NI border would be established to consider realistic, achievable solutions. Might have been an idea to do that a few years ago.
