Personally, I'd prefer the mongy fans to go, rather than Puel.

Nothing wrong with the selection or tactics today. Poor execution cost us. It doesn't matter what the manager says to the players if they make a mess of simple slide-rule passes when we're in front of goal, or smash the ball miles over when they shoot. The only issue I have with Puel today is taking Boufal off. I thought Redmond was having his worst game for ages so I would have taken him off for Sims, not Boufal.
-
I thought he was one of our best players today, and certainly better than Redmond and Tadic. At the end of the day, half our team looked like they weren't really arsed.

It's either: -Sell to Eisner -Sell 4,000 "Community Shares" or get money from presidents -try and get some cash from someone else.

More detail later on: We have approximately £900,000 (nine hundred thousand pounds) remaining in the Escrow Account. All expert stadium safety reports commissioned point to a five-year contingency requirement of at least £5,000,000 (five million pounds) to address major stadium infrastructure issues. This results in a cash shortfall of £4,100,000 (four million one hundred thousand pounds) that will be required over the next five years. Due to ongoing investigative works we are currently unable to accurately predict the timing on when this funding requirement will be needed. ❖ In the event of stadium safety work being delayed and/or being unfunded, in the interest of fan safety and security there is a strong possibility the capacity at Fratton Park would have to be reduced by the Licensing Authority to allow the stadium to remain open. ❖ The stadium infrastructure requirements [which are clearly detailed and attached to this statement], will, if not funded externally, impact greatly at some point on the club’s operating budget in the future.

Page 19: "There is a need for funding at this time to address immediate stadium maintenance issues". According to "no to the takeover" they've got enough cash to rebuild "the old girl"

Normally, you would also agree not to negotiate with someone else during the exclusivity period as well, so any rival purchaser should still be well behind the curve when the exclusivity ends. And normally you wouldn't enter into the exclusivity period unless you were happy with the buyer. Basically, there's no obvious reason for the seller to grant exclusivity unless they are happy enough with the basic terms agreed with the buyer and willing to sell to them. It's just possible that the seller might be playing some sort of more convoluted game - ie. use the buyer to announce a willingness to sell - but it would be odd. My guess is that when the exclusivity was granted, Liebherr was happy enough to sell to Lander. Information may have come to light in the meantime that means that isn't the case any more, or the failure to complete could simply be because of issues at Lander's end (such as any PL block or inability to pay).

Wasn't the "settling" thing in the context of the number of matches? Ie. playing midweek consistently meant he was travelling around and at work a lot more than he might otherwise be and so they hadn't really been able to settle into a pattern of family life yet? I can't see him walking and how many clubs in France are genuinely attractive? If Monaco or PSG were in for him, then, yes I could well see him wanting to go, especially if there is upheaval in the boardroom here but that's just about the only scenario where I could see him wanting out. He won't be approached by anyone better than Saints in Germany, Spain or Italy.
-
An exclusivity period is just a commitment by the seller not to sell to someone else (during the period). It doesn't create a commitment on either party to actually complete a deal. It's basically assurance for the buyer that they won't waste time and money on due diligence only to find that someone else has nipped in ahead of them.

And holds a fans forum on Solent. That's my red line.

Good lad. -
Yeah, Dalian Wanda is a top bloke.

Agree, as of now - but not when we had Fonte and VVD.

I think that's a fair contention. Take Lukaku out of the Everton team and put him in ours this season and we would probably be doing better than they are now (we may even have won a cup and be in the latter stages of the Europa League, who knows). Puel had to play half the season without a competent or fit striker. Other than that, I think Gueye would be a great partner for Romeu and Davis looks like a brilliant prospect for them but I'm not convinced anyone else is an obvious upgrade on a like-for-like basis. And it is a sideways step. They aren't going to be doing any better than he did under us any time soon.

The 6th place last season was clearly an over-achievement. We were pretty crap for large parts of it and only a general weakness across the league (we finished above Chelsea and Liverpool and Leicester finished above everyone, FFS) and some match-winning turns by Mane clawed us up there. I would say Koeman got a bit lucky and our efforts against Midjtyland were embarrassing - worse than anything Puel has served up this season. With both firing on all cylinders, our team that finished 8th under Poch would probably have beaten our team that finished 6th under Koeman, IMO.

Here are sections 2 and 3 of Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty: 2. A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention. In the light of the guidelines provided by the European Council, the Union shall negotiate and conclude an agreement with that State, setting out the arrangements for its withdrawal, taking account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union. That agreement shall be negotiated in accordance with Article 218(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. It shall be concluded on behalf of the Union by the Council, acting by a qualified majority, after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament. 3. The Treaties shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification referred to in paragraph 2, unless the European Council, in agreement with the Member State concerned, unanimously decides to extend this period. - - - So, the suggestion that all exit arrangements must be agreed before succession arrangements can be considered seems somewhat contrary to Article 50 which states clearly that exit arrangements should be agreed which take account of the framework for the future relationship (or at least the process should take account of this, which is much the same thing). Further, if an exit arrangement is not concluded, we simply leave anyway. As with most current pronouncements, this is just part of the negotiation. Merkel will soften her stance on the "future relationship" negotiations and we will agree to pay some money.

The timing of that article, coupled with the assertion that "investment is imminent", is interesting. It almost reads like a way for the club to tell fans the Lander deal is off but something else is coming. Either way, if the stuff reported is true, I can't see Kat selling to them. They must think they've still got a chance though or they wouldn't be appealing.

I'm not. Posts like the one you just did make you look like a child. That doesn't upset me. It does make me feel a bit sorry for you though. -

I didn't say that I was upset. You are spoiling any sensible debate with your endless purile questioning routine and dumb-headed ramblings though. It would be funny if it wasn't a bit sad. Let me leave you with this.... if your posts on here do accurately reflect your outlook and intellect then I have to tell you this: you are a terrorist's wet dream; you are pure Jihadi-puppet master fodder. Bellicose and confused. Absolute terrorism-target gold. No wonder you're scared. -
Yes, exactly. This is obviously a sensible viewpoint. It does require the ability to defer gratification and think further than the end of your pint glass / cigarette / vape machine though so I can see why some people struggle to realise.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

1) The premise behind the question is wrong. 2) Is it. Is it really? "A threat to western Europe"? Only if blithering idiots over-react and make things worse. Personally, I find ill-educated dinlows to be much more of a threat. A sense of proportion, boy, that's what you need. 3) "Taking over" towns and cities? I don't deny there are some areas which have become culturally dominated by Muslims, largely due to a failure of congregating immigrant communities to integrate and assimilate. I don't think your sort of tone or worldview is going to help with that though. And the suggestion that there is a general "take over" of towns and cities is self-evidently alarmist, pant-****ingly cowardly, and plain wrong. Out of interest, what percentage of the population being Muslim would you consider too high? -
Their wage bill looks to be at a manageable level, relative to turnover but the Fratton running costs are going to knacker their cash reserves unless they increase turnover over the coming seasons. Seeing how they pack the park every single match already, they're going to have to hike ticket prices. Or sell to a Yank.
