    Puel out

Ahh, the old say-something-stupid-in-haste-then-pretend-it-was-just-joshing routine. Good one.
  2. Whatever you think of Farage, he has probably made the single biggest impact of any UK political figure other than Thatcher and Blair in the last four decades. His style is obviously unconventional but I think it's nonsense to say he lacks credibility. He had a conviction and he's seen it come to fruition. That's more than most politicians manage.
  3. Well, it's £2,500,000 not £250k, actually!
  4. Wash the car.
  5. You know people generally put a pound or two on an accy for a bit of fun, don't you, pal?
  6. Freedom isn't free, there's a hefty ****in' fee.
  7. Lee Mason won't let us win.
  8. We've had loads of one armed linesman and referees.
  9. The diamond we played earlier in the season would have been perfect for a fit Jay Rod. As it is, though, it's hard to see him getting a run in the first team so probably best for everyone for him to move on if there is genuine interest.
  10. My colleague went recently and said it was great. If you want nice scenery, weather, food, peace etc. then it's ace apparently. If you want Disney Land or all-night raving then probably not for you!
  11. The trophy thing is utterly fatuous for any Skate under about 80 to mention. Literally, the only time they've been anything other than crap in the last 60 years was when they were spunking laundered money on unaffordable players. And that coincided with the one major trophy they have won in the post-war era. It's no wonder they are so bitter and weird though - 8 years in the top flight in the last 57 years compared to our 40 50 to 7 in terms of higher league finishes Kind of explains why they get so excited about an inconsequential 2-2 draw.
  12. Pretty good summary!
  13. Hardly. One is an average centre back and one is an exceptional attacking player. Attackers are worth more.
  14. I'm not sad by it. Just think we would all be better if you ****ed off as you have absolutely nothing worthwhile to say. And thanks for proving my point, frankly.
  15. There's a v8 version of the Jaguar XE at similar price point and performance you might also want to look at. Or, play it safe and get an M3!
  16. Your contributions to this forum are pretty pathetic. Posting silly little questions and then stupid follow-ups rather than actually offering any sort of evidence of thought is, basically, a pretty infantile way to carry on and evidence of a fairly limited ability to engage with issues meanginfully.
  17. It's not possible yet. It needs to be negotiated. The "hard Brexit" cones from the EU not from our politicians and is a stupid and vacuous expression.
  18. If Swansea go down then I'm sure Sigurdsson will leave but I also expect he will have a host of decent options.....
  19. I think the main problem with education is not the structural organisation of schools but the abandonment of proper teaching methods in favour of hipster ideas about "self-discovery" and "creativity" etc. in previous decades. There has been a corresponding loss of intellectual rigour and love of knowledge/true learning in the classroom. This creates a self-perpetuating decline as the next generation of teachers have been educated in this way; diminishing educational standards, coupled with relatively poor pay deterring high-achievers from entering teaching, makes it very difficult to reverse the decline. I think the Tories are probably the only party likely to make a stand on academic standards (that doesn't mean I think they will necessarily sort it out but there has been a clear raising of expectations at primary level, for example, with much harder SATS at year 6). I'm not a big fan of a fork-in-the-road at age 11 and I don't think many people are. When people speak in favour of grammar schools, nowadays, I think what they really want is a re-emergence of some of the more traditional teaching methods and an assurance that the school values academic rigour and discipline over "self-discovery". That doesn't mean schools should be austere and militaristic or that creativity and expression should be curtailed but I think the balance shifted too far from actual "teaching", in favour of "learning".
  20. Was that the one when Hart spilt a tame effort on the goal-line and Barry scored a pathetic own goal? Quite an entertaining match!
  21. Very sensible decision, although this should have happened six months ago. The referendum "no" vote should have precipitated this sooner. No major party campaigned with a unified voice for "out", other than UKIP, so it makes sense for there to be a chance for manifestos to be re-written in light of the vote and put to the public vote.
  22. Lee Todd.
  23. Very poor. Too early in the day? 2/10.
  24. It really does help a lot. Thank you.
  25. I don't think he's ****. He played in wins at Old Trafford and the Emirates. Sometimes things just don't work out.
