I've no idea. It wasn't a conflation, it was a direct response to the previous post, which talked about contractors. I'll use the quote function more judiciously in future, to spare us all.
-
Most IR35 contractors obviously pay less tax than is fair anyway (a lot of them are de facto employees, taking the **** with expenses and whatnot) so ******** to them.

I think that's right. Although if Man U won Europa (thereby qualifying for CL) but hadn't already qualified for Europa via other means then I think it would be a 5+3 scenario I.e. no one would lose their Europa spot. So do we want Leicester to win CL and Man U to finish top 4 whilst a team finishing 5th or 6th wins FA Cup?

Whilst Suarez dived for the pen, Barcelona's pressing and possession was absolutely fantastic. No point being churlish about that. Their back 4 are dodgy but that's another thing. If the ref was bribed he could have awarded them a penalty earlier but he actually booked Suarez for diving earlier. As for the Di Maria penalty claim, it may well have been, but it was a tough call at full speed, I think. The 5 mins added time was absolutely justified with the number of goals and subs during the second half. So, yes, whilst they probably should have been knocked out because that penner was a poor decision they still deserve adulation for an incredible attacking display. Suarez is a **** - he was before and he still is. Doesn't mean the team is a "cheat".

Aye, but we would have to notify the football authorities for their own governance rules, I would imagine, and then there's a good chance the news would leak. I would be staggered if an actual share purchase has completed without any announcement from Saints. I suspect this is a misapprehension of Lander's prior announcements around its exclusivity period.

Doubt it.

That's a bit harsh - you basically want to see him be one of the top players of all time! He just needs to be almost unplayable all game and that will be cool with you? Yeah, I would say that would be acceptable! I agree more about releasing the ball and, as you suggest, I think errors in that area may be partly informed by a lack of confidence in the abilities of some his team mates this season. For what it's worth, I think he's been good this season - especially for an injury interrupted, first season in a foreign league. He's scored a couple of absolute belters and been heavily involved in a fair few more goals. By way of example, he's been better than, say, Cedric was in his first season in England. As you say, if he gets a run in the team with an in-form striker in front of him he should do really well. His "ceiling"/potential, whatever, is up there with the best in the league. Next season is looking promising if we can avoid mass departures in the summer.

Antonio better than Redmond? No chance.
-
That's normally long enough for England.

What's good about Leicester's owners? They cheated FFP in the Championship and some how, via the biggest fluke ever, won the league on a shoestring. They haven't done anything clever. I'd sooner have a Yank than an Asian.

What makes football stop start is the dismal fannying about over throw ins, set pieces, injuries etc. That is allowed to carry on for some unknown reason. A quick TV replay for goals and other key decisions would be a drop in the ocean and is obviously a good idea.
-
We won't catch WBA or Everton with the number of games left so the answer is "9th". Next season, I don't see any reason why we can't do better though, as long as we back Puel in the summer in central midfield and central defence.

Exactly. This is why well-off folk should pay less tax too. I have private medical insurance, went to a private fee-paying school, live on a private road and I don't approve of the armed forces. I should only have to pay something like 10% tax, if that - but I get stuffed with 40%!! More than some prole who relies on the state to fund everything for them. It's disgusting.
-
Haha! Must have been a bet surely? There's no way on earth you would willingly subject yourself to watching that garbage otherwise. I hope he's alright - what with being on the wrong end of the fiercest beating this side of Fanny Craddock's egg whisk.

I'd take him back! ----------------------------New GK---------------------------- ---------Caceres----------Van Dijk-----------Bertrand------- Cedric-----------------------------------------------------Shaw --------------------Romeu------New DM---------------------- ---------------------------Boufal/Tadic------------------------ ------------------Gabbiadini---- Redmond/Long--------------

Was hoping the City game would move to Sunday. Oh well.

Definitely improved this season. Hopefully Hojbjerg manages a similar step-up next season. Van Dijk Cedric Bertrand Romeu Boufal Tadic Redmond Gabbiadini Add in the improving JWP and reliable Yoshida and, if there aren't big departures, we're only a couple of decent signings away from being a very good team.
-
Agree. And he's been working with a few duff tools this season as well.
-
Most of our bad results have been due to players messing up. In virtually every match, except against the very top teams, we limit the opposition to a small number of chances and we create a fair few ourselves. That's the sign of good coaching and organisation.
-
In fairness, it's good for Everton if Man U win but I think the gist of your post is still correct!

I think that's right. He's an unpredictable mixture of all-sorts of policies without any real coherent thread or direction and half the time he doesn't really know what he's talking about. In short, he is ill-suited for any sort of political office....... I think it's undeniable his supporting cast are pretty right-wing though.
