If KD hadn't given Leicester the ball in the 93rd min, or whenever it was, we win, they lose, their run halts and they start picking up typical results for a bang average mid table team and we end up winning the league. So, basically, Stekelenberg getting injured has won Leicester the league and cost us the league. That's a fact.

They played well but created little and their goal was fortunate. Meanwhile we looked likely to score on the break and would have done if Tadic had pulled it a yard further back. You saw all the weaknesses in the Poch system today. This incredible, bright future, Spurs team has agreed total of five more points than it got last season if I'm not mistaken. And that in a weak season. I maintain that they have not improved much at all and will be lucky to finish top 5 if Utd, City and Chelsea get their act together. Meanwhile, we remain quite frustrating to watch at times but are arch-pragmatists. Beat Palace and a good chance of European football again... get in!

Virgil van Dijk signs new six-year deal with Saints

Agreed, that song is retarded and irritating. -
I would be quite pleased with this in white with red bands replacing the blue and green bands and the collar strip (white where the yellow band is) and a red UA logo. Would be a smart take on the red and white, IMO. Maybe with some nice white shorts and red and white hooped socks.

Leicester cheated their way out of the Championship with dodgy sponsorship and naming rights deals, actually, with a wage bill in excess of their turnover.

Tottenham build up thread ...a question posed

Appalling refereeing from Clattenberg not to send Dier off. Absolutely awful. -

Definite ban for Dembele and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a red card in the second half so they could have a few missing. -
If he flagged for him being offside when the kick was taken then that was wrong. Because the kick sailed over his head and he didn't become active until after two headers occurred. You don't need to defend decisions that are manifestly wrong. It makes you look blinkered.
-
Well if he flagged for the original kick, which he obviously didn't, it was still wrong because there was another phase of play before Ayala was active. Either way, it was clearly wrong.
-
He would fit in very well at Spurs but presumably an Arse to Spurs move is unlikely for a contracted player. I would like to see him here again. Can play centrally from deep and carries a goal threat with the ability to beat a man. We have no one in our current squad that you can really say that about.
-
True but we need to try to sign a Fonte replacement at some point because Yoshi and Gardos will only ever be back up. If a good centre back who fits the profile we want is available then I can see us having a go. Other than that, I think our target will be an offensive midfielder and replacements for any leavers. We could do with another reliable keeper too.

I am particularly enjoying listening to Spurs fans on phone-ins saying they aren't too down and they never expected to win the league but they are so optimistic about their massive bright future and the wonderful team they are building. Typical Spurs fan unfounded arrogant nonsense. Some points: i) they've only currently got 5 more points than they got last season; ii) they haven't suddenly become a really top team - they've just floated up the table a bit due to this being the lowest quality season in living memory; iii) their manager is unlikely to stick around for long; iv) when United, Chelsea and City get their act together they will be back to desperately trying to grab Arsenal's coat tails to have a crack at fourth; v) they will basically be back to battling it out with Liverpool for Europa spots - like most seasons. Still, here's to Spurs' bright future. They will probably finish above Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, City, Liverpool..... and they've got done by Leicester. Bloody Leicester!!
-
What? Just because Leicester are massively underwhelming it doesn't mean I'm not heartily amused by Spurs.

at Spurs and their dickhead fans.
-
After knocking the ball down with his arm, yes.
-
Yet another refereeing blunder gifting them a goal. Got to wonder if they did a syndicate on Leicester at the start of the season.
-
And that wasn't as bad as one Spurs got earlier in the season when Walker (I think) was about ten yards offside, right in front of the linesman, and crossed the ball for a goal.
-
More pathetic officiating costing Newcastle a goal. Would have been sorted in five seconds with a TV official checking.
-
If you think Leicester are better than Spurs you're mental. Five point gap can easily be attributable to luck - which Leicester have had extreme and freakish amounts of.
-
I just don't like on pitch injustice. The fact I am peeved by their constant benefiting from decisions when the alternative is Spurs winning the league says it all really! Finally someone picks that nasty chav up on his diving and gives their two meathead centre backs a bit of medicine but then goes and gifts them a goal for nothing anyway. Their second shot on target in the whole match. They are about as good as you normally expect an 8th placed team to be. Maybe a bit lower. To my mind the league is not interesting any more. It was earlier in the season but now seeing them plod about fouling constantly yet being allowed to scrape undeserved wins through generous refereeing has become quite tiresome. And for those who want to talk about money and some kind of underdog narrative: you might want to know that they cheated their way round the financial fair play rules to get out of the Championship. Mind you, it is quite funny that Spurs are going to finish above Arsenal, Man Utd, City, Chelsea and Liverpool but still win **** all thanks to this bunch of grafters!
-
Indeed. We were much better last season and the season before but look likely to finish in roughly the same position this season. I think next season is going to be a bit of a shock for Leicester fans. Enjoy the relegation scrap!
-
When you finally think a ref will stand up to Leicester he goes and gifts them a point. Mind you, it was a shock to see Moss having a good game up until that point. They must, without a doubt, be the worst team to ever be in with a shout of winning the league. It's embarrassing for English football.
