Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
benjii replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
I haven't seen the programme but if you're interested in Der Troubles, then I recommend the Book "Say Nothing" by Patrick Radden Keefe. -
All staff wages were 75% of turnover. Turnover was 150m. Therefore our total wage bill is 112m. It is in the accounts so if you're saying it can't be true you'd better have a word with our auditors. https://assets.ctfassets.net/qtmbc4zcgkle/52YumvNvXtZwIPjCnLeB8o/5a07069b86d67deb4dcd5b7bb961eeaf/St_Marys_Football_Group_Ltd_Financial_Statements_2022.pdf

We'll walk the league. Piss easy.

Mark Bitcoin - do me a favour. Obviously made up.

Dragan chucked in twelve billion quid last night.

If we had 35 we'd be finishing 18th.

Bum the runner! Bum, bum the runner!

You would have sacked Adkins.
-
Key to this being successful will be having the right centre backs on the pitch. We will likely need a complete rebuild in that department unless Stephens and Bednarek stay.
-
Everton will ignore financial rules, funnel more money in from Usmanov (their real owner) and probably piss the league.

This is not correct. Ankersen and Kraft are both minority shareholders in Sports Republic.

Only Saints could appoint someone from a club with 115 charges hanging over their head as independent director in charge of audit.

Absolutely. He's been here half a season. Stand right in his way.

Another vote for Aribo. Currently fifth with 11 votes.

Must win!!!

I fucking love "premadonna". Makes me chuckle every time.

Managing a Premier League scale football club, presumably?

The best transfer window we've had in recent years, by far, was the one where our manager, Koeman, was clearly linked to many of the signings. You'd think we might have learnt something from that.

If Forest spend ten years in the Prem then their atmosphere will end up as shite us ours.

The key for the Championship is to have a quality manager, be organised and play with a bit of identity. I think people are massively underestimating how good some of our players are. They are collectively seemingly weak mentally and obviously need some shaking up but a lot of them are technically miles better than the likes of Billy Sharp, Dean Hammond, Danny Fox, Guly etc. The most important thing this summer is to get the right manager in and let him decide who he wants to keep, and obviously plugging the gaps that open up with departures.

Jose Fonte to return next season (Twitter Rumour)

Just saw him with Bierhoff and Sacchi at Winchester Services on A34. -
Keep McCarthy if his pay will be low enough. Otherwise Bazunu plus an old head. Tino, Bree, Larios. Ideally keep Perraud. If not, need a new LB. At CB, the only one I'd actually want to keep is Bednarek, funnily enough. Salisu clearly wants out. ABK too good but misses a lot of games. Stephens.. meh. Lyanco, too mental. We should try to negotiate with City and Lavia to sell now with a loan back for another year. Unlikely, I guess. So that leaves Smallbone. Diallo can leave. Need some experience at CM. We should do whatever we can to keep Alcaraz. I'd give Walcott another year if he'll take sensible wages. I'd also keep Djenepo, and Edozie should get a chance. Supplement with a nipper. If Tella is around too, then great. Aribo and Moi can do one. Stuart Armstrong seems to have fitness issues now. Orsic... lol. Up front, I'd keep Tall Paul and look to shift everyone else. Adams will be wanted by lower Prem teams. So, basically, need a rebuild at CB, CM and striker, and hopefully one or two of the youth can come through. CB and CM needs to be folk with leadership attributes.

Probably best for people in positions of authority not to stand too close to open windows tomorrow. Would hate for another accident to happen.
