Mills is a decent player but, let's be honest, he's impressed most when he's been out on loan.

There is a difference between cuplability and contributory stupidity/negligence. Clearly, if you are raped you are not the perpetrator and you are not culpable. If, however, your actions have contributed to the rape then you may be stupid or reckless. Clearly, at the extreme scale of rape (ie. some weirdo lurking in a bush and jumping on a passer-by) there is minimal contribution. At the less severe end of the rape spectrum you might have the situation where some slut gets off her head and goes to bed with someone and later claims she didn't consent to sex. Clearly she has contributed quite significantly to the situation (although she is not culpable of anything). At best, this walk is a harmless but misguided protest. At worst it gives the dangerous and wrong message that women can act as provocatively and irresponsibly as they like regardless of whether that is reckless or sensible.

Who said that?

I remember Monkou being awesome in some games but a liability in others. At his best he was tremendous but he doesn't have the consistency that Svennson or Richards or Fonte (albeit in a lower division) have shown. I might be wrong though, as it was a while ago! I chose Ruddock because he scored the first Saints goal I saw live!
-
Sorry, the original post was about the "Slutwalk" which is neither sensible nor serious.
-
Forgot about Richards. He would have to get in the team ahead of Fonte actually, meaning that Ruddock will have to do one from the squad.

Number 1) is what I suggested, I think. I don't think number 2) is any better. You would have all the 60-63 year old's saying exactly the same thing. If you're 64 you only have to wait one year to fit into the new concession bracket anyway. As for your last question, I suspect most of you will renew anyway. So ****ed off or not, it makes little difference. We are gearing up for the Premier League soon and people who can't afford one at this year's prices certainly won't be able to afford one then.

That is terribly sad too
-
Terribly sad situation and you have my sympathy (along with your mum and dad). The problem with something like dementia though, is at what point can the decision be made? Presumably your mum couldn't make that decision now, so at what point could she have? It's a very difficult area (stupidly obvious statement of the year award goes to me).

Looks like an aeroplane.

Why's he hanging around in an alleyway? If he's doing that then he is certainly contributing in part, yes.
-
Nice!
-
Yes, I agree too. I think the "Markus Liebherr Development Centre" (or whatever) would be a fitting memorial that really encapsulates his legacy and the project he and Nicola embarked on.
-
I think they had two options, if they wanted to make this change. 1) Allow existing concessionaire's in the 60-65 bracket to be treated as 65+. 2) Do what they have done. 1) would have been a nice gesture but, commercially, it probably doesn't make sense. It is a shame if people are priced out but, unfortunately, that is life. We are all, save for a few uber-rich, priced out of something. At least in this case the affected people will be eligible for the concession again in a few years' time.
-
Yes, I think everyone in the world can agree with that. But if the concession provider decided to change the bar to 58 you would be entitled. Hence, it is arbitrary and discretionary and "entitlement" is based solely on the rules of the scheme, as set by the scheme provider, from time to time.
-
Er, what? An insurance premium is calculated on the basis of bespoke circumstances. An insurance company is hardly going to publish your policy details on its website for all to look at. A season ticket price is rate-carded.
-
No, of course they are not entitled to it. It is a discretionary reduction offered by a private company.
-
But they've reintroduced the installment plan which means the amount you need to pay by mid-July (so, in fact you have had well over one month's notice) is less than the amount you would've otherwise needed to pay under last year's terms. Yes, they could've done it differently; but there's no reason why they should as concessions are entirely discretionary.
-
So your moan realtes to the club's operating practices and not the price of your ticket?
-
I would say he was more striker than midfielder (although when he was younger he played on the wing). Whatever, he was still brilliant.
-
I'm sorry. I will PM you a Werther's Original.
-
TBF, for most of his career he was no "midfielder".

Don't beat yourself up.
