Agree, although as it seems there is genuine competition for his signature then Vitesse are rightly trying to prise some more cash out of the deal. Butts has helped us by going public though and it may be that he would rather sit out his final year and join us next year than go to QPR now. If Vitesse know that then they will probably be forced to cave in eventually. Either way, this could drag on a bit!

I doubt it. He looked very small physically when he played against Milwall this season. I expect it will be a couple of years before he is at Fox or Harding's level. There aren't many 17 year old defenders in the Premier League. People like Bale, Richards, Smalling etc are, in the nicest possible way, physical freaks. I don't think Shaw is. He may well be class but he will need to be introduced very carefully.
