This. They are unlucky not to go up with 86 points and will be very unlucky if they get 89 and don't go up so in that sense I have some sympathy for them. Never mind though.

I understand that previously the club ran a direct debit scheme with no additional cost. This is clearly bonkers and no wonder it was stopped. A lot of clubs offer a scheme through some sort of third party to whom you will pay extra. However, if the club doesn't do this then there is nothing whatsoever stopping any but the most hard-of-thinking fans from arranging their own "installment" plan (credit card, small loan, saving up through the previous season etc...)

Let's do this and play like a Keegan / Chris Nicholl team: ------------Schneiderlin-----O-C-------------- ----Guly----------Connolly-------------Lallana ---------------Lambert/CMS------------------- That would be entertaining!
-
Hope we thrash them. Also hope Brighton lose.

GK - really? Why do people keep saying this? KD is massively popular with the team, a senior figure within the squad and has been excellent again this season; as he was last; and as he was the season before. "Winger" - really? So someone better than Lallana and Chamberlain? Good luck. CB - really? Someone better than Jaidi or Fonte? Good luck. And hamper the progress of Martin and Seaborne. Completely pointless. The areas where we lack top Championship quality are centre midfield and up front (unless Connolly can be relied on to stay fit) and those are the priorities.

Quick interview with Adkins and some clips from matches throughout the season - (Plymouth home, MK Dons away, Oldham home and away, Brighton away and yesterday). Not spectacular but better than anything the Football League Show can do!

Looks like their next segment will have a feature on Saints.... (I realise this may be a Football League / ITV style 30 seconds of ****e, but they have just trailed it).
-
Apart from the Skates of course, Forest and Cardiff are weekends I would look forward to having previously lived in both places. I have a feeling Cardiff will be going up in second though as QPR seem to be in a spot of bother...!

If we want him dead then I'm pretty sure he is dead. The "burial at sea" thing is a smart move IMO (even if you don't believe it) - prevents any sort of shrine or lasting link with a country of burial.

You're having a laugh aren't you? I am miserable. This is why: 1) I bloody love a good fans' forum. 2) I can't afford an extra £3 on my ticket. 3) Nick Illingsworth may or may not have some sort of legitimate gripe with the club.

I really couldn't give the tiniest of ****s either way.

It's not going to be a signing FFS.
-
Haha. Seedorf please (I think Messi is joining the Skates).
-
Beckham and Owen it is then.

GK is fine. IMO we don't need a CB. Jaidi has been excellent recently and Martin has real potential. Seaborne will continue to be useful in home games where we have a lot of the ball. Left back is fine. RB - Butterfield is a really consistent, good performer. I am not convinced at all by Richardson. If a good RB is available I would sign them and let Richardson go. RW - fine, unless Chambo goes in which case we will need someone unless there is another nipper ready to step in. LW - fine. CM - the one area where we could make a significant step-up in quality. Stephens has done well recently but I can't see him giving us anything extra in the CCC. Chaplow, Hammond and Schneiderlin have a good mix of attributes but we could do with a mobile, driving, CM who is also cute on the ball. Up front - Keep Connoly (and the others!) and look to add someone of top Championship/lower Prem calibre (probably not Beattie any more TBF). One thing that we have done every season since NC arrived is sign a player from Italy who we have no right to sign as a third tier team. I am expecting a player of serious quality to arrive out of the blue now we are in the Championship. I'm also expecting Guly to become a bit of a legend next year.

I wasn't in the away end and I can tell you that when Connolly turned away after his gesture he did have a broad smile on his face. If we can find a way to get Lallana, Guly and Lambert buzzing around Connolly we could be very good indeed. He makes us play well by demanding the ball to feet in the right areas and moving superbly.

Nah, rename the stands. LeTissier Liebherr Bates .... and Itchen?!

Things were a bit "lively" in the Lyndhurst....

Dirty skate bastards, we're coming for you.

Well, I've got the day off thanks! Fair play mate - good luck in t'play offs.

Strange game today and very strange being sat in the Lyndhurst stand (who was the nutter who went down to the front, turned round, stuck his arms out and started singing "We are going up" after we scored the third?). First half was a little uncomfortable as Plymouth were fighting hard and made us battle and dig in. The wind was horrendous too which didn't help either side. That cross from Butterfield and header from Lambert were absolutely key to giving us the mental upper hand at the start of the second half. We put in a great 5-10 minutes and Plymouth were a beaten team from then on in. We have plenty of players in the squad who can do well next year and who, frankly, should not be playing as low as League One. If we can add one or two further quality signings then we should be aiming for promotion again. Thank you Markus, thank you Nicola, well done Big Nige and well done to all the players. Party on Saturday!!

I disagree actually, I think they're much of a muchness. The difference is that in the Championship you get the odd player that is clearly different class. We, however, have one or two of those ourselves. I think people forget how lucky we have been to have Davis, Fonte, Jaidi, Lallana, Chamberlain, Guly etc... Think back to some of the dross you saw at SMS last time we were in the Championship.

I've always liked Lyndhurst.... x x
