  1. If you think we're gonna do it then take a trip to the bookies. Should be able to get 11/1 or 12/1 on Saints to finish top 4.
  2. Koeman did get it wrong initially. We were far too narrow which played right into Burnley's hands as they could canter up the touchline and hit diagonals, which was pretty much their entire attacking capability. Fair play to Kelv - great performance considering he hasn't played for ages and I'm honestly not confident that Forster would have saved the shot from Ings. We need to play to our strengths a bit more - Mane is our best offensive player right now by some distance so we need to keep him central in my opinion. I would leave Pelle on the bench at Everton.
  3. Outside Liverpool or, if you must park in Liverpool, a modern CCTV covered car park in the city centre (which is nowhere near the footy). Under no circumstances would I park on a random street in Liverpool.
  4. 4-1 Mane to score first. 80/1 Fact.

  6. 8 wins, maybe 7, will see us in the top 4. That should be the aim for now. I will worry about the Europa League once we can't achieve that.
  7. No doubt about they should have had more. So should we. Interestingly, we have not conceded one all season, which also can't really be right.
  8. Do we need Morgan and Vic for this? With Vic on nine bookings I'd be tempted to start with Morgan, Davis, Djuricic behind Tadic, Mane and Long or Pelle.
  9. I agree and, from the little seen so far, I think he looks after the ball much better and won't give it away cheaply. I think he has looked v promising so far considering his arrival in a completely new country and his lack of playing time this season.
  10. Yeah but fair do's, it is the mighty Cheltenham.
  11. Huge bargain at £10m. If he has another season like this next season he will be worth £25million to £30million. He is potentially top class. We will do well to keep him more than a couple of years.
  12. Actually, you are probably correct because I didn't go last year! I was definitely there the year before and yes, it did shat down. I won on Long Run that year but probably not BIG, like your boss. Stitched me up too! Tried to jump the shadow. Stupid horse.
  13. Yep, I'm going on Friday. Hoping for some better weather this year!
  14. The really shocking thing about that pitch invasion was how utterly tinpot it was. QF win, FFS. Embarrassing.
  15. It's quite ridiculous of you to pretend that this is a new phenomenon under Cameron. You may have numerous legitimate gripes with him but the notion that he is the first PM to be slippery and not answer the question at PMQs is just risible. Find some footage of Blair or something for a true look at a narcissistic evasionist of the highest order.

  17. If SNP end up being the decisive adjunct to a ruling coalition then the English, N Irish and Welsh ought to have an independence referendum.
  18. I agree it seems disproportionately managed but I suppose it's the lack of ambiguity that makes it such a flagrant and unedifying offence. Now, let's see if a Man U player gets a lengthy ban (should be increased for a frivolous appeal IMO)....
  19. Why on earth not? If I meet someone in a club who looks over 20 and I want to have sex with them and they want to have sex with me I am not going to ask to see their ID, and neither is anyone else.
  20. Yes, it's not so much swearing that irks me, it's aggressive screaming at the ref; running up to them; borderline physcial intimidation etc. Yellow card. Like has been said, it will stop pretty quickly once Rooney, Henderson, Terry etc get booked constantly.
  21. Agreed, and those problems could all be sorted quite easily by stricter refereeing. No rules would really need to be changed, just interpreted more stringently and yellow cards issued. I would rather see someone booked for time wasting or delaying a free-kick than for being a split-second late for a tackle. It's purely a culture of tolerance from officials that allows this. The same as having players scream in your face and just walking it off. Book them! Jordan Henderson, Kevin Nolan, Wayne Rooney... budgies like those should be booked at least twice every match.
  22. Not sure what your point is? He should have been booked but wasn't - which, I thought, was exactly what most people are saying: that referees do not do enough to stop time wasting.
  23. Strange evaluation of Djuricic who looks to have settled straight in, despite moving to a new country and having not played much this season, and has played well. He is brave on the ball, clearly more skilful than Davis or JWP and looks much more likely to play an incisive pass. He's basically Gaston but without the tendency to give the ball away cheaply. He gives us something that Lallana used to, which is the ability to transition a harmless looking midfield situation into an attack through moving dynamicallly with the ball. He and Mane are our only players who do that.
