The key for the Championship is to have a quality manager, be organised and play with a bit of identity. I think people are massively underestimating how good some of our players are. They are collectively seemingly weak mentally and obviously need some shaking up but a lot of them are technically miles better than the likes of Billy Sharp, Dean Hammond, Danny Fox, Guly etc. The most important thing this summer is to get the right manager in and let him decide who he wants to keep, and obviously plugging the gaps that open up with departures.

If Tella is around too, then great. Aribo and Moi can do one. Stuart Armstrong seems to have fitness issues now. Orsic... lol. Up front, I'd keep Tall Paul and look to shift everyone else. Adams will be wanted by lower Prem teams. So, basically, need a rebuild at CB, CM and striker, and hopefully one or two of the youth can come through. CB and CM needs to be folk with leadership attributes.

Yep. That was the one match this season I have been to (live far away now) and I was shocked how awful we were, both in terms of on pitch quality and managerial nous. If this was another year under Gao, you'd be right. But it wasn't, and you're not. We spent plenty of money this year and signed tonnes of players. The only reason we are still experiencing the slump of the last few years is because a lot of the signings have been poor and the replacement of Ralph was inept.

Keep: GK, Tino, Perraud, Larios, Bree, Stephens, Smallbone, Alcaraz, Sulemana, Tella, Big Paul, Adam Armstrong, Edozie, Mara. In a real dream scenario, keep ABK and Lavia, but can't see it. Stuart Armstrong if he can sort fitness. Sell for right price: JWP, KWP, Salisu, Bednarek, Adams, and sadly Lavia and ABK. Try to shift: everyone else. Leaves us with McCarthy/Baz Bree, Tino, Perraud, Larios = strong Stephens, [Bednarek] = two CBs needed.
