  1. The best transfer window we've had in recent years, by far, was the one where our manager, Koeman, was clearly linked to many of the signings. You'd think we might have learnt something from that.
  2. If Forest spend ten years in the Prem then their atmosphere will end up as shite us ours.
  3. The key for the Championship is to have a quality manager, be organised and play with a bit of identity. I think people are massively underestimating how good some of our players are. They are collectively seemingly weak mentally and obviously need some shaking up but a lot of them are technically miles better than the likes of Billy Sharp, Dean Hammond, Danny Fox, Guly etc. The most important thing this summer is to get the right manager in and let him decide who he wants to keep, and obviously plugging the gaps that open up with departures.
  4. Just saw him with Bierhoff and Sacchi at Winchester Services on A34.
  5. Keep McCarthy if his pay will be low enough. Otherwise Bazunu plus an old head. Tino, Bree, Larios. Ideally keep Perraud. If not, need a new LB. At CB, the only one I'd actually want to keep is Bednarek, funnily enough. Salisu clearly wants out. ABK too good but misses a lot of games. Stephens.. meh. Lyanco, too mental. We should try to negotiate with City and Lavia to sell now with a loan back for another year. Unlikely, I guess. So that leaves Smallbone. Diallo can leave. Need some experience at CM. We should do whatever we can to keep Alcaraz. I'd give Walcott another year if he'll take sensible wages. I'd also keep Djenepo, and Edozie should get a chance. Supplement with a nipper. If Tella is around too, then great. Aribo and Moi can do one. Stuart Armstrong seems to have fitness issues now. Orsic... lol. Up front, I'd keep Tall Paul and look to shift everyone else. Adams will be wanted by lower Prem teams. So, basically, need a rebuild at CB, CM and striker, and hopefully one or two of the youth can come through. CB and CM needs to be folk with leadership attributes.

Probably best for people in positions of authority not to stand too close to open windows tomorrow. Would hate for another accident to happen.
  7. Not if Lavia wants to go back to City and we can afford not to sell him. As per the previous post, we should be talking with City to accelerate their buy back on the condition that Lavia stays with us for another season on loan.
  8. You're forgetting that a club might have a points deduction. Where there's life, there's hope.
  9. Yeah, I hate scattergun transfer clubs. That's why I'm glad we've only signed: Bazunu Perraud Bree ABK DCC Alcaraz Lavia Larios Aribo Edozie Tall Paul Sulemana Orsic and AMN on loan.
  10. Win all our matches and we'll stay up. Remember when Leicester won the league? If you see a fat lady starting to sing, shut that lard-ass up. Let's keep it tight and do them late on. BELIEVE. CoYR. McCarthy AMN Lyanco Janny B ABK KWP -----<<<<Diallo>>>>------- -----JWP ------- Lavia------- -------Moi--Armstrong(A)--- Unleash Tall Paul, Adams, Sulemana, Stuart Armstrong, Edozie, Aribo and Alcaraz later in the game when they tire. RRRREEEDDDD ARRRRMMYYY!!!
  11. Must be knocking on a bit by now. He was no spring chicken when I was a nipper! I understand he remains resolutely anti-woke.
  12. I'm not sure there has been a single match this season when we've picked our best XI.
  13. Anyone seen The Laughing Paki lately? N.B. it's not racist, that's his Nom De Guerre.
  14. Yep. That was the one match this season I have been to (live far away now) and I was shocked how awful we were, both in terms of on pitch quality and managerial nous. That was going to be our Big Reset. Sack Ralph at World Cup break and give the new guy a pre-season! P.s. and it's Nathan Jones! Mental.
  15. If this was another year under Gao, you'd be right. But it wasn't, and you're not. We spent plenty of money this year and signed tonnes of players. The only reason we are still experiencing the slump of the last few years is because a lot of the signings have been poor and the replacement of Ralph was inept.
  16. I was going to say top 9, but top 10 is OK.
  17. Yes, asking price should be 25m+.

    Is Johnnyboy retarded?
  19. Really hope he's here next season.
  20. Ankersen is the driving force behind SR and also one of the owners. He's hanging around. Let's hope he starts exhibiting a bit of competence. Dresm scenario is this: - Semmens, Steele etc got rid of and replaced by people who actually understand the importance of creating a proper home football club atmosphere and ethos - Manager: either an experienced person with track record of Champ success (Cooper, for example... ambitious one, Rogers?!) or a younger manager with a penchant for attacking football but also with some pedigree in the English game (Carrick, Parker etc.) - Players: Tino back to fitness. Keep: GK, Tino, Perraud, Larios, Bree, Stephens, Smallbone, Alcaraz, Sulemana, Tella, Big Paul, Adam Armstrong, Edozie, Mara. In a real dream scenario, keep ABK and Lavia, but can't see it. Stuart Armstrong if he can sort fitness. Sell for right price: JWP, KWP, Salisu, Bednarek, Adams, and sadly Lavia and ABK. Try to shift: everyone else. Leaves us with McCarthy/Baz Bree, Tino, Perraud, Larios = strong Stephens, [Bednarek] = two CBs needed. CM = Smallbone. = At least two experienced CMs needed Forwards = Alcaraz, Sulemana, Big Paul, Armstrong. Realistically, we may well still have Djenepo as well, who I wouldn't mind giving game time too. He's got all the potential just needs to sort head and get some consistency. Don't know if we need to sign people or whether some youngsters can step up. So, priority areas for signings, likely CB and CM. And let's not go for hopeful punts on nippers. We can loan some nippers if we need to. Edit: forgot Edozie and Mara. Keep Edozie. Keep one of Mara and Adam Armstrong.
  21. Exactly right. Also, what Newcastle did to escape last year. We must have known how he would need to be used when we signed him. It's not exactly a subtle intrigue. Yet the coach doesn't want to use him. Suggests dysfunctional club.
  22. I don't think a single person wished for Nathan Fucking Jones and Ruben Tapas Selles.
  23. I said at the time that Mediocre Martin should have had no part in selecting Gao's purchasers. He had a huge conflict of interest as anyone with serious clout would have got rid of him pronto. The big task this summer is maximising the incoming from JWP, KWP, Salisu, ABK and Lavia. That ought to be comfortably 150m+ of sales if we play it right. Plus someone will probably punt 20m or so on Adams (although we should try to keep him). And if we let Tella go to Burnley that should be at least 25m. Stephens - sale to Bournemouth if they stay up? So 200m of sales is quite realistic. Not sure about DCC and Orsic. Guess they might go on loan somewhere. Walcott, Willy and AMN will be off the payroll. Stu Armstrong off to Scotland. Keep hold of Sulemana, Tall Paul, Alcaraz. Current GKs will be fine for Champ. Keep Perraud, Livramento, Larios. Maybe Bednarek. Get Smallbone back. Keep Adam Armstrong. Not a fan, but probably keep Elyounoussi too as he seems like a stable character and should be more effective. Djenepo? Basically means we need a rebuild at centre back and centre mid and cover at right back in case Tino isn't fit.... oh, yeah, Bree! Bazunu Tino, Bednarek/New, New, Perraud New, Smallbone, Alcaraz New, Tall Paul/Armstrong, Sulemana If we can get some experienced quality at CB and CM it shouldn't look too bad. Earn your corn, Semmens.
  24. Yep. The one time he played a ball into the box with Tall Paul on the pitch was the one time we looked like we might score a goal.
  25. Mental that we put one decent ball into the box all match, despite having pretty much total control over midfield. And that one time, we nearly scored. That's on Selles. Wrong team, wrong tactics.
