  1. We are, apparently, not granting accreditation to any photographers other than our own appointed ones.
  2. Maybe it's an experiment and next year, when it matters, it will be reviewed.
  3. Indeed, it is unbelievable on here sometimes, it really is.
  4. It may be, but unless you actually know something then there seems little point in starting a new thread inviting baseless speculation on the subject.... oh.
  5. Even if the new man is Mourinho or Wenger there'll be some merry band of nutjobs moaning about it on here so you should get your, "I told you so", moment come what may!
  6. Used to be S****horpe's physio, got given their caretaker manager job in 2006 before being appointed permanently. The next season he won League One. The following season they were relegated from the Champ. He then got them promoted from League One again and they stayed up in the Champ last season. Their budget is tiny. So basically, two promotions from League One in two full seasons in League One. Good credentials in League One but only been a manager for four years. If we're looking for an up-and-coming manager then he probably has better credentials than most. No doubt there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth if he gets the gig though. Personally I would go for someone like Mowbray over him but he might be a decent candidate.
  7. "I'm pretty committed" -
  8. Hoddle a step forward?
  9. Disgruntled ex-employee IMO.
  10. at swearfilter breaking the link.
  11. Albert Pinesaint. That's a good name!
  12. Nah, you're still not convincing anyone!
  13. Agree with your "no thanks". But Davies, Warnock (not going to happen anyway) or Pearce ahead of McClaren? Ok, he may have made a bit of a tit of himself at England but in club terms he has been No 2 at Man U, did pretty well at Boro and won the league with FC "who the feck are they?" Twente. He would be an amazing coup.
  14. Oh noes! Even highly credible Sky "Paul Hart" Sports News? Oh double noes!!
  15. It's well known that Seb Coe and William Hague used to "judo" together in their underpants.
  16. You can forget Zola. He was on his way down this morning for an interview but when he was getting ready he had an unfortunate accident and had to go to hospital instead. I have proof:
  17. Could not agree more - excellent post IMO.
  18. Well, I think he is the only secured creditor so I think he would see all of it up to the value of the secured liabilities (and potentially less administrator's costs - he and UHY will probably have already come to an agreement over that seeing as he appointed them in the first place). Bear in mind, all the unsecured creditors are now bound by the CVA so they have no claim against new money (I think!) and the liability of honouring that will pass to the new bods.
  19. Not directly relevant at all but this is a typically jazzy and florid article (if a tad old) from darling Simon Heffer entitled, quite spectacularly, "Why gays become politicians" http://www.newstatesman.com/199811130008
  20. Surely Mills must be ahead of Holmes in the LW pecking order as well now? I liked Holmes but sadly I think he's going to be one of those players with ability who never quite manages to crack it anywhere. Bit like me...
  21. Particularly if it was a fait acompli since the summer....?
  22. That's the team I would pick f'sure. No concerns about the left side. Whilst Lallana is obvioulsy class, Dickson was very good against Bristol Rovers and will get dangerous balls into the box. The concern around Adam being out is whether we will get enough bodies into the box - that's where Punch, Hammond and Gully need to step up. The only question is whether to stick Gully in or stay 4-4-2 and play Connolly. Connolly is a very good player but can we really rely on him as a first 11 starter? I think we need to establish a settled team asap for the next three or four games. If Gully turns out to be gash then by all means, drop him and stick Connolly in but I think we should give him a start in his best position and see what he can do.
  23. A debenture is a form of security. If you're not paid what you're owed you can exercise it. If new money comes in which pays off the remainder of the debt then the debenture will fall away.
  24. EDIT> Nothing, just googled it.
  25. Would love that. Woulf be very entertaining.
