Good shout! Mods, don't want to do your job for you but let's have nominations today with a poll opening tomorrow. So, if we're talking the 2000-2001 season onwards its from Hoddle-era. Three obvious shouts are Pahars, Bridge and Beattie. No doubt someone will nominate Michael Svensson but he only played about 70 games for us so, in my opinion, there is no way he can be the player of the decade. Can we do player of the 90s next week, and 80s the week after and so on?
-
Have had some really good ones but they usually involve some sort of party organised by friends rather than going to a club or pub.
-
Shouldn't you have put "NSFW" in the title? FFS.

As a statement, a mass stay away is certainly a lot more striking than getting beered up and having a sing and a march with your mates and then turning up at the match as usual. The latter has all the impact of the student protests in London; it just looks like a bunch of ill-informed people enjoying themselves.
-
Unless they can get the away fans to participate in a stay-away I fear the impact may be minimal.

Let's see if Chris Martin signs...

If we want to know more should we PM you?

Chaplow - signed a 2 and a half year deal - OFFICIAL

Agree completely. Hammond looks a lot more relaxed with Chaplow in there instead of Morgan. I think Hammond can concentrate more on his own game (which is massively underrated by a lot of Saints fans IMO) when he has a partner with the dynamism of Chaplow. This isn't an attempt to slag off Morgan, I just think Chaplow complements Hammond better. -

Would rather have Martin or Seabourne to be honest. -
Why were you slagging Jason Dodd off? Would've got some England caps if he had a better hair cut.
-
I met him once too. I was battered and no doubt talking complete ****e but he did seem like a very nice and humble fella.
-
This is exactly right, which makes the premise of the thread even more laughable.

Chris Marsden in the Rhino. Obviously didn't want any attention. On the subject of bald lefties, Matty Robinson in Kelly's was the complete opposite. He was so happy my mate and I recognised him and shook his hand. We were obviously taking the **** but he didn't realise. Ahh, sweet.

Found Jermaine Wright, Cedric Basseya and Wayne Thomas huddled in a doorway having a smoke once.

The weirdest was probably the NAMG/oil rig incident.

Stewart Dennis to take over? -
Well, it is obviously a different kettle of fish but it does illustrate rather nicely the manifest absurdity of the amount of parliamentary time and resource wasted on ****ing fox hunting.
-
Yes, but it is not perceived as socially exclusive and so it's absolutely tickety-boo for your casual class-warrior, despite the clear fact that it is cruel. Parliamentary time spent on aboloshing this would actually require some resolve and moral conviction from politicians and the public rather than just taking a much easier prejudicial swipe at a bunch of people they don't like.

His first touch was much better IMO. I also think Guly did a good job of occupying their defence which gave him a bit more space than usual. On a separate note.... just watching the highlights: No idea how their chap missed the open goal. We were very lucky not to concede from that situation. Having said that, their goal should not have stood as the ref let them take the free-kick about 15 yards away from where the foul occurred and that's the only reason they were able to get the ball out to the winger so quickly. Hadn't realised how unlucky Lallana was from that volley from Chambo's cross. Great block on the line from the defender. Also, credit to Schneiderlin for playing an incisive forward pass in the build-up to that move - should happen more often! Edit: Hadn't realised how good Chaplow's goal was either. Great ball in from the throw-in, nice touch by Guly and excellent first touch and finish by Chappers.
