I agree. He says the same fairly bland stuff all the time because he doesn't want to blurt something out that he later regrets or reconsiders. He's clearly someone who prefers to articulate their opinion privately in the cold light of day to the people to whom it matters. Strachan was funny, sort of. Holloway is funny, sort of. Mourinho is very entertaining. That is their style. Each to their own. If you mistake what must be consciously bland interviews for a lack of intelligence or charisma then your probably missing the point IMO. Unless the interviewee is Alan Shearer, Mark Bright, Martin Keown or one of the other numpties on telly, in which case you would probably be right.

There's no argument to see apart from you making the nonsense assertion that Fernando Torres would struggle, or at least not be that good, in League One and now trying to qualify that with loads of assumptions about his mind-set and fitness in this ludicrous hypothetical world where players with pace and clinical finishing do worse than slow lumps who can strike a good ball. Presumably he would do worse than BWP this season?

Awesome final paragraph but, again, I would question if he is attacking "liberalism" as a manifestation of what being "liberal" minded actually is. Presumably "Liberals" was a defined group or party and that is who his quote is aimed at.

At the risk of sending over the perfect cross for our resident sun-kissed farangs to head firmly into the back of our collective net of consciousness their tales of what (a bone - excuse the pun - of contention, no doubt, in some cases) they did last summer, I would just like to go on the Saints Web record and announce that I bloody love Thai food. Please talk, to the extent you would like to, about Thai food below. I am also interested in broadening the conversation to the food of neghbouring countries of Thailand.
