At home v Shrewsbury. Play the ressies.

Aww, poor Cherries didn't get a cup final.
-
ITV can even **** up televising a draw. Stop all this **** and pick the ****ing balls out you ****s.
-
They didn't have to give him a contract. Can't see that Rooney's done anything wrong here - he's just looking for the best possible outcome which is fine. He wasn't the one who went public over the whole thing; Ferguson was.
-
Thinking about this from an altruistic perspective I ask myself: - to whom would a draw against us at SMS mean the most? - to which group of fans would a draw at SMS prove most exciting? - which team would bring a large allocation and a create a "cup final" atmosphere? - who could we beat quite comfortably? Yes, I hope, in the spirit of giving something back to the less fortunate in the footballing community, that we draw AFC Bournemouth, The Cherries, our local neghbours and many Saints fan's second team, at home in the FA Cup.

Absolutely right. His attitude is top notch. He was probably our best player in the first half yesterday. He was eclipsed by Lallana in the second and obviously the mix up of styles worked to good effect when AC came on but Puncheon's contribution is not understood by many of the more vocal elements of the crowd at SMS, sadly. There were a couple of neutrals behind me (for some reason!) and they commented on how Puncheon was the best player on the pitch in the first half. Puncheon, Lallana and Guly are a clear class above League One standard in terms of ability and all work hard and give it their all. We are lucky to be able to enjoy watching such players in the third division.
-
Morgan and Chaplow completely controlled the midfield during the second half. Morgan is very frustrating due to: i) questionable temperament; ii) lack of assists and goals; but in spite of this he has still performed well this season and is improving IMO. He is quicker into the tackle now and has learnt to control games. He should start every week if fit, with one of the other two. The two criticisms highlighted above probably amount to the same thing - ie they are mental rather than down to ability. We need to persevere with him.
-
Well, I am clearly a good judge of a player. AC is class. I hope he stays under the radar of bigger clubs (we should continue to use him from the bench for now anyway).
-
Can't be arsed to read thread but are some idiots criticising Puncheon again? ****ing clueless D'inlos if they are.
-
Walton was worse. D'urso was a D'inlo today though.

I think the value of a Prem return is easily overestimated. Yes, it's a cash cow in the sense that you get a guaranteed income for nothing, but clubs with the Skate's meagre infrastructure simply cannot compete long term without accruing dangerous liabilities. PFC in the Prem next year does not suddenly become a sensible investment. Serious investors in football clubs in recent years plough money in to clubs with infrastructure and potential, not those with a temporary cash flow and massive short-term liabilities. Like Dubai Phil said, they are destined to lurch from one dodgy owner to the next. And I'm not convinced Gaydamak is about to fold either.
-
'tis one of the better stadia in the division, TBF, but £23 does seem a bit steep.
-
Trying to shaft Gaydamak really isn't a great idea for a number of reasons.

I saw some beautiful horses in the Forest last weekend. I did not milk them.

You numb-nut. Total and utter dinlo. Where do you think all the money received in loans went? It went on players and their wages. Where do you think the tax liabilities came from? They came from player's wages. You didn't go around taking loans for the sake of it - you took them to pay players. God, you're an idiot as well as an unpleasant turd.

The problem with the vociferous lefties is that they are just so zealous. They're are blinded by some sort of weird religion/cult. It's indoctrination, it's sad and it's damaging. -
I'm not sure if "disgraceful" is the right word. I would say "retarded", personally.
-
I would definitely start with Barnard. Whether Lambert or Guly partners him would depend on Lambert's fitness, I guess.

Abso-flipping-lutely!

Although funnily enough most polls I've seen online seem to come out with a total of at least 50% either in favour of the cuts or believing they are a necessary evil. -
Against Saints, probably Michael Bridges, Darren Huckerby or Duncan Ferguson.

Aha!

Aye. There is something so simple-mindedly pathetic about the, "the bankers caused this but the poor people will pay", line that angers me. We're talking about public spending cuts. Of course cuts in public spending will affect the poor more. Why? Because the poor rely on the state more than anyone else. "Fairness" etc is not relevant. This is not a normative thing it is an inescapable truism.
