Stop being a boring ****. All of you.
-
No, but we won it so who cares?

But Lallana subsequently showed he wasn't up to playing a full season at that stage. Either that or he was poor last season because of Poortvliet or Wotte. You can't have it both ways. In any case Pearson did what he needed to do - you speak as though he failed. And don't come on with some meaningless statistics. We were going down the pan. He kept us up. He has now got a team promoted and into the top eschalons of the Championship. He is obviously a much better manager than Wotte or Poortvliet. Just accept that Poortvliet and Wotte were both a terrible farce and be done with it. There is no other sensible viewpoint.

Anyone with any sense new Scooby was on a wind-up from the start. Many people knew he did the same thing on 6-0-6. Unfortunately the Mods couldn't quite work it out. Either that or they thought he was funny. He was quite funny.
-
How do you know if he's any good as a coach? He was a coach last season wasn't he and we were ****e?
-
He was an employee for a few years or so and was paid well. All the best on your move back. Haven't read Illingsworth's article but if he thinks the club should have done something then ******** to that IMO.

I'm always shocked how people get so concerned about climate change. Personally, I don't care. It obviously makes sense to try and be sustainable and to reuse things if you can. That's just sensible resource allocation but I'm not motivated by any desire to save future generations. It's like red nose day or children in need. It's nice to try to make yourself feel better and some small good may come of it but no one actually gives a **** long-term. No systemic change will occur. No capping will drive down carbon emissions. No meddling with individual's lives will stop widescale industrial emmissions. New technologies will have an impact; if the political will exists to provide the necessary wombs for their embryos. That will will exist one day. It might be too late by then. The whole thing might not be an issue at all. Either way, you can't do anything about it.

Yes, let's hope there are loads of revenge attacks. That would be great. I long to live in a community like that.

The alarm bells (or rather celebration hoots) should have been ringing when the wages were allegedly paid out of Jacob's firm's client account last month. There is no sensible reason for that to have happened. I am convinced they will not make it to the end of the season.
-
Bit generous towards the end there IMO.

Tired truism of the day award goes to Andy Durman.

Can he still afford to pay them?
-
I think this is largely true whether we'er promoted or not. Whilst we no doubt want to build over time, it might be considered likely that Jaidi, Perry (age), Trottman (back to Preston), Murty (age/injury), Lallana (sold), Connolly (injury), Papa (doesn't stay for some reason) can't be relied upon to be stalwarts next season. I might have done some of the older guys a disservice there and hopefully they will be raring fit and keen to play on but whatever happens this season it seems likely that we still need to conduct major surgery again either next summer or in January if the market allows.
-
I agree with that. In fact it is more in homage to what he's done that we need to sign another striker as if he gets injured we're in trouble (or at least we will have a completely boring second half to the season)!
-
Pardon?
-
I expect we are much better than them and if we play to 80 or 90% will win comfortably.
-
What the bejeezus are you talking about? Pearson gave him his debut in the penultimate game of the season IIRC. Burley, Dodd and Gorman had not seen fit to pick him before then and I believe he had also suffered injury problems. Please don't try to pretend that Pearson misused Lallana. You might as well blame Gordon Strachan for failing to pick Walcott or Bale.

Just watched the highlights. Great goal.

PMSL at the list of players sodding off in Jan and also at The Guardian article. They really are a complete joke now. I actually think the end could be nigh for them.
-
I'd love to know what people expect from a right winger apart from goals, assists and a tremendous work ethic. Keep up the good work Papa, those of us who know what we're talking about appreciate it.
-
The "luxury player" tag is completely misplaced. He puts in a hell of a lot of work defending. Reminds me of Kachloul who was also not appreciated fully IMO.
-
We must be intending to sign another striker in January. It's unrealistic to expect him to play every minute of every match and we don't have anyone else who plays his role.
-
Don't worry, the frankfurters containing the cash are sat in Dover waiting release as we speak.

You don't become a billionaire by being careful with your money. People become billionaires by being visionary and daring. By taking risks and seizing opportunities. (Although, I admit they could also inherit it, which I think is what happened to Markus, but anyway.... ) Anyhoo, how much he is willing to spend is irrelevant. Clearly he is willing to spend enough to give us a great crack at promotion, otherwise we wouldn't have signed Lambert and Jaidi. If people think we did that in accordance with a sensible budget based on our income then they are wrong.
