  1. FWIW, I would say we are bigger than Charlton and Leicester but about the same as the other two.
  2. I doubt he's on £30k a week. I reckon Lambert is on something like £8k. KD probably similar if not more. I think Beattie would consider £10k. Not saying he would accept but I don't think it's a ridiculous suggestion. I think it's a more ridiculous suggestion that he will ever get a £20k-£30k contract again (if he is on £30k now). I don't know how long he's got left on his contract at Stoke so maybe he'll be prepared to sit it out but he doesn't strike me as that sort of bloke.
  3. Not completely out of the question IMO. Can't see him getting another Premier League contract (maybe West Brom actually, or whoever comes up from the play-offs), he is out of favour at Stoke, Stoke is a **** hole, he liked it down here, we could offer him pretty much whatever any Championship team could, there's no special lure of being in the Championship, he's never won anything.... etc There are certainly sillier ones on here!
  4. Why is this Orr chap suddenly in everyone's plans? A look at his Wiki page suggests he's a bit of a ****.
  5. And Seabourne, Arizona. Don't forget Seabourne.
  6. He won't come unless Xavi signs. PMSL
  7. what a numpty. Pardew is rubbish etc... "Sound thrashing by Pompey"
  8. None of the other Liebherr siblings ever seem to feature in European rich lists but I think it's a pretty safe bet they've got a wedge.
  9. It is impossible to swap success in one competition for an achievement you haven't earnt in another. HTH all.
  10. Oh my sides. Seriously - hilarious. Like when something funny happens at school and you know you're going to get bollocked for laughing but you can't help. ****flaps *****s  Neil Shipperley
  11. Stick some heaters in too innit.
  12. So are you saying that anything which means rich people might benefit is inherently wrong? I happen to think inheritance tax is wrong. I see no link between abolishing it completely (the right thing to do) and taking measures elsewhere that are economically necessary.
  13. Oh, I see. In that case I agree with your gist!
  14. I think we did. It was a slightly discounted price before a certain time then another slightly smaller discount for a period two I think. The problem was that it was the same pooey beer and general offering and it was still roughly the same price as some pubs.
  15. FFS - we all know he's mental (so are you, by the way). Don't encourage him. The two of you are pathetic.

Let me answer this... It is my thread. When I started it I hoped for an enjoyable conversation prompted by Hirst's girth but not necessarily exclusively focussed on it. I am happy that other girths have also featured.
  17. Was chatting to some German lads on holiday once. They supported some small East German team but they said that the ground is packed from about two hours before kick-off. There's a happy hour (or two) where the beer is really cheap (and no doubt quite good) and everyone meets at the gorund instead of the pub. I think it would be great if this could be done. Especially if we had a licence to show whatever early kick-off match was on tele in the concourses. The atmosphere at the start of matches would also be improved IMO as people would be more inclined to get in position in time rather than pour the last drops of pish down their throats in the concourse or leg it in from the pubs.
  18. Whilst the supra-national legislation is troubling in principle, I often wonder if it has done more good than harm. It means our politicians have to get some useful laws passed (consumer protection, job security, anti-discrimination etc..) rather than wasting their time on populist trivia like fox-hunting.
  19. So a pretty big deal then. I presume he's German or Chinese? Can Corpy crack open those noodles or whip out the bratwurst?
  20. How you say, an umbrella?
  21. I'd like to thank you both for giving the greatest gift a person can give. The gift of knowledge.
  22. very true. Bunch of weirdos. Shorts, long socks and sandals all round. No doubt.
  23. Will Neil Shipperley be there? Lock up your burgers.
