  1. You plonker! He did see the writing but by the time he was acting chairman of the football club (a position he had no choice but to accept after the power vacuum of the old board's departure) the damage had been done. People have explained this to you before - what don't you understand? What was he supposed to do? "Un do" contractual commitments? How? All he could do was loan out high earners (which he did) whilst prioritising our champinoship survival (achieved) and appointing a popular, crowd-uniting manager in the process. What more could he have done or could anyone have realistically done in the middle of the season? Unless you're advocating refusing to pay wages?
  2. When was that? It would have been last summer but clearly he was deprived of that by Quisling and Haw-haw.
  3. I'm not bothering and there's nothing stopping me. All my mates who would go (and quite a few of those can't be bothered eithe), I have seen for beers recently so there really does seem like no point. If we had a new manager, mind....
  4. Saints Trust?!?! The question is, did that fail because of shareholder/fan apathy or did it fail because of cack leadership? (or some other reason).
  5. John Hoskins CDAJFU in a couple of years then.
  6. It was going to be us.... ask Rupert.
  7. MK Dons are the Manchester United of the south.
  8. I expect the Plymouth centre back is distinctly average, at best.
  9. That would cause a compromise on font size. I think the fact that he has paid £30 to watch an amateurish shower of crud get stuffed is support enough.
  10. I'l nominate Marian too. If only he hadn't had all those injuries.....

But Mike, Branfoot paved the way for Hoddle.... Think of him as a John the Baptist figure.

  13. Almost exactly how I feel. This is not a football club anymore. It is not what I used to enjoy watching. It gives me minimal pleasure. It does not exist to try and do what the team I supported existed to try and do. It has been killed.

  15. Who's that? Perry? That's at least 4 then because Pearce has two as well.
  16. TBF I can think of at least 3 goals we've scored direct from corners this season which is probably not a bad return.
  17. I've had tea at Patrick Moore's house.
  18. How long was a round back then? Fook me, I bet those fights were messy by the later rounds!
  19. First reference of the day on the radio to Gillet's height. "Pint sized"
  20. Wonder if he's joining Gasmi in the stands for the second half?.... probably not a very clever plan.
  21. Classic activism. Very enjoyable and ultimately fruitful!
  22. My mate reckons Gasmi is in the away end with some bit of skirt! How funny.
  23. McLaggon is highly rated by well-known session guitarist, Chris Spedding.
