"Middle management" on £250k a year pro rata. Get real.
-
It's verging on the obscene actually for a part-time director of a company making a loss, with a turnover of only c£12m (from memory), and who has a full time executive chairmanship with another company. We were told he worked two days a week, so he was on £250k a year pro rata, yet apparently Nigel Pearson was too expensive. The man is an insidious repulsive ****.

Season tickets - What it the actual law stopping us selling these?
benjii replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I posted the same thing myself a few weeks ago. I don't think it is "illegal" to sell the tickets as things stand (although I have no idea if the Football League have some rule or other), however, whether any waiver of consumer rights would be binding if the club ultimately failed to fulfil its fixtures, I'm not sure. I suspect not. It's hard to see how this would be a problem for the company itself, as if it did fail to fulfil the fixtures then presumably it has gone under anyway and so the consumers would merely join the ranks of the unsecured creditors and any complaints would effectively fall on deaf ears. However, it is a different matter for a director to go ahead and authorise this if the solvency of the company is in doubt and I can understand why they wouldn't take the risk. (I believe the situation in our case may be further coplicated, as I'm not sure if ST income actually goes to SFC Ltd - my belief, based on sketchy details that have emerged, is that the original stadium finance structure ensured that ST income went to the stadium project vehicle. I believe the debt was later refinanced by Aviva so this may have changed.) -
I generally disagree. Used to watch Forest a few times in League 1 and it was, mostly, rubbish. The only concern is that pace and height are important and we don't really have any at the moment. Our players are perfectly good enough though. Indeed, they are mostly good enough for the Championship. They have suffered this season from a lack of balance, tactical misdirection and ****-poor management in general. The likes of James, Holmes, McGoldrick, Lallana and Surman have far more ability than most in League 1. McClaggon and Thomson could also have an important part to play. Wayne Thomas, of our current squad, could be key if retained (although I appreciate he is apparently on silly wages).

I think the main criticism was spouting ignorant crap and appearing utterly amateurish and desperate, rather than using the media TBF. Many takeovers are conducted professionally and within full glare of the media. Indeed, we were a fully operational PLC at the time so not to use the media would be odd to say the least. In summary of your post: There is a a written bid with the administrator. Thanks.

Wouldn't be too surprised! -
I had dinner with someone the other day who has never heard of MJ. Don't thank me for this insightful contribution.

Yes, yes it is.

Lots of skeletons coming out of the cupboard now..

No doubt this is true, in the sense that if no savings had been made we would have gone into admin sooner, but it doesn't mean that the choices that were made were not utter guff. -
You might be able to trust their good intentions but you can't attach any weight to most of what they post IMO.

Oh The Echo, you are a terrible cad.

No rotundas, St Kitts & Nevis Saints or David Beckhams in sight. Bah! humbug.
-
Yep - no points deduction for them.... oh

Because most professional services firms are LLPs - outside investment is a no no. Begbies Traynor, on the other hand, is owend by a PLC.

It's not rocket science though is it? Biggest downturn in living memory >>> more insolvency work.

I still have a couple of PMs!

Got to give the guy credit... He formulates his plans Does his homework Makes his move......... Then thrashes around manically hoping someone will pay for it all. I think we should have a Lowe or Jackson poll thread. I vote Rupes.

Familiar pattern on that thread!

Stage three being: Find consoritum members Get consortium members to agree to part with cash Get agreements negotiated Get sidelined

Seems a bit harsh to start posting F'book photos IMO. PLenty of other stuff to remember fondly from the (in)glorious days of Lifelong / cherrypip I'm sure we've all got some photos on there we'd rather forget about!!

Well, certainly looks the bloke from the interview and the various Bournemouth articles.
