  1. I admit, I am ashamed for not wanting a religious maniac, ego driven, inarticulate, 80s haired, tight shorted, permatanned, Le God maltreating, "one of them things", guru reliant, oddballs as our manager. Damn me and my destructive influence. What I would have liked is any manager who is reasonably competent. That could have been Paul Sturrock. It could have been David Moyes. It could have been Sam Allardyce. **** it - it could have been Glenn Hoddle actually. It certainly wasn't Wigley. When you can point at the fans that lobbied loudly for Wigley to be appointed, and when you can point at a shred of evidence that any fan's views were consdired at board level you might have the tiniest hint of a raison d'etre for your strange obssession.
  2. Unless Hoddle was the only prospective appointment better than Wigley.... OBVIOUSLY NOT, then the whole argument is entirely moot.
  3. I'm always a bit reticent about this in case you are actually mental but.....
  4. Will you apologise for blaming the fans then? (not that it's relevant in any way at all to anything really...) Odd.
  5. So has he signed then?
  6. And on a bank holiday in the midst of actually supposedly doing something important. Seriously this place ****es me off sometimes.
  7. Hairdresser? Steward? Taxi driver? Brother Le Tiss?
  8. PS. It's nice to know this place hasn't lost the knack of flabby mouthed nudgey-nudgey winky-winky ********.
  9. Is David Beckham involved? Some arabs? Fat tw @ with a briefcase?
  10. I agree completely with your last paragraph. As someone who was in the Northam, I got the definite feeling that there were people there determined to make their own "sport" at the final whistle come what may. I agree that the ref may not have helped. I think a bigger contributor was probably the police's strange actions with their dogs.
  11. To be honest I wish they had told you to bog off (politely). I'm not sure why they didn't. Mind you, they were quick to amend the typo on their website so fair play on that point.
  12. But the point is that the reason we got relegated was because of things we did. Not things we didn't do. We didn't give Hoddle the job.... who cares? (apart from you) We didn't give George Graham the job. We didn't give David Moyes the job. We didn't give Sam Allardyce the job. We didn't give Martin O'Neil the job. We didn't give... blah, blah, blah. In a parallel universe I wonder if there's some weird fantasist banging on about how we'd be at the verge of world doination if we'd given David Moyes the job We went down because we did sack Sturrock after two games. We did appoint Wigley. We did fail to sign a proper centre half in the January window. The fans were excellent. They did not have anything to do with it.
  13. It depends what the parties to the contracts were and what survives the administration process. If the entity that has the right to enforce the contract ceases to exist then the obligations on the other party will fall away.
  14. I agree that there was definitely an atmosphere surrounding the game, which was caused largely by the refs failure to control it. It was pretty clear though that a reasonable element had decided to go on the pitch regardless of events on or off the pitch. Furthermore, although the ref was ****e, there have been plenty of refs that have had a more negative effect on Saints. He did, after all, award us a pelanty. I remember much worse and more detrimental refereeing performaces affecting Saints in the past but no pitch invasion/mass confrontation. He was gash, but to blame him for the actions of the imbeciles is like blaming someone dressed like a tart for getting groped.
  15. OMG!!! It's a person or group of persons. ****ing whooppee, yeessss!!!!! :smt041:smt041
  16. I agree. If MLT had played for Orient or Milwall he'd have got about 100 caps.
  17. It must be, surely? Given that in most previous relagtion scrap years we only used to win 2 or 3 away games yet still got around 40 points.
  18. I think you've done a typo there. You spelt, "the raving mongs in the stand", "the level of aggro on the pitch".
  19. I do hope there is someone who looks after you.
  20. Nevermind!
  21. This post shocks me to my very core.
  22. There's no chance another female PM will be allowed to slip through the net so soon after Thatcher.
  23. If Drogba and Rooney are "special" then so is Shearer.
  24. McLoughlin was indeed pure ****e.
  25. I was thinking about getting a membership for the upcoming season for the main reason that it might be hard to get tickets to certain away matches without one.
