There's no reason why our form shouldn't be in the top 3 in the league between now and the end of the season. I'm not sure if that would be good enough for the play-offs or not. That said, he does make a valid contribution and it's always entertaining to see his exchanges with religious figures. Some of what he says is true ie. he did deliver the best football that 99% of their fans will see in their Pompey supporting lives. They did win the cup. It's just his complete whitewash of the idea that there may have been any negative element to his tenure whatsoever that is annoying. He says that they haven't had a decent owner since Mandaric left. Now that may well be true but if he recognised that Gaydamak was not a good owner then why was he complicit in spunking all their cash up the wall! It's all about HR and nothing else. Maybe that's fair enough but it makes his "spiritual home" guff even more nauseating.

I think that's all quite right. I can't see the Ryanair model becoming dominant on longer haul flights though. It would simply be too uncomfortable for most people. I don't mind a crap flight if it's a short flight but if I'm on a plane for 6 hours+ I want some interestingly arranged food and a film!
