I think there's nothing wrong with allocating European places based on current standings. That's the only way to do that, assuming the season doesn't finish. That's a qualitatively different thing from awarding a team a trophy they haven't won or relegating a team with a quarter of the season left. They should give Liverpool some sort of award / certificate, allocate the European positions for next season based on current standings, void the rest of the league, void the FA Cup and any other incomplete cup, the League Cup stands. The only exception would be that if a team has mathematically won a league title already they can be awarded it.

Good news! Covid-19 has been diagnosed with Zlatan and has gone into self-isolatuon for 14 days.
-
Who are they testing though? Everyone or people with symptoms? If the latter, then that's a low figure. If the former then it might be good news (already high levels of immunity and significant coverage without intensive care being overwhelmed). I am an amateur at this, mind.

Agree with all this. Good post.
-
Undoubtedly. It’s been around since November. But there’s really no way of knowing if you’ve had it and you’re not susceptible to the serious symptoms.

This is one of the key points. 100 people need ICU? No problem. 500,000 people need ICU? Big problem.

This is idiotic behaviour at the best of times but particularly retarded at the moment.

The board know very little of Goa's plans, wider business activities or financial standing. It's why the club couldn't answer Premier League enquiries about state influence when the Chinese government expropriated a large chunk of Lander. -
In his 70s. Obese. Dementia. Full of drugs... Them's some underlying conditions.

Agreed. You can’t relegate and promote teams on that basis. I don’t see any other way to deal with European spots though and the FA Cup spot will have to go on the basis of league position. They can cancel it but award Liverpool some sort of naff “Premier Award” or something.
-
Cancel. Apart from League Cup, which was completed.
-
Presumably it’s not even safe for Liverpool to hold a mass candlelit vigil so I’m not sure how they will get through this.
-
Still no league title for Liverpool

That’s only part of the picture. The UK director is Nelly Goa, not Jisheng Goa, and the ultimate holding company is in the BVI. -

I should add, I have no direct knowledge of anything he has or hasn’t done. I’m only repeating what I read in newspapers. Maybe it is all wrong. -

They changed the rule afterwards to refer to the commission of acts that would constitute a crime if committed in the UK so the situation wouldn’t arise again. He wasn’t convicted of anything in China or the UK so technically passed the previous test which only rules people out on the basis of actual convictions. The reports I have seen said he wasn’t convicted in China because he gave evidence against the guy who got executed. However it was established fact that he’d been involved in the bribery in question. I’ve posted about it before, with links to the rule and long quotations. I can’t be bothered to do it again. I also find it odd that you seem to consider anything he does outside the immediate purview of SFC as irrelevant. It’s only irrelevant if you are some sort of weird football-moral-solipsist and you don’t believe a person’s track-record is cause for optimism or concern. What has happened here is that you have been desperate to try to show you are cleverer and more rational than other fans - if only they would engage their brains - but you’ve run the argument into the ground and it’s time to give up. This has been a sort of adriansfc post on steroids, gone wrong by you. -
Trump likes the numbers where they are. On a more substantive point, dare I say there are structural deficiencies in the US health system when it comes to managing national public health situations.

Very strange. -
Trump is a complete ****. To make this a "foreigner" thing just shows his narcissism, lack of compassion and self-interest. Travel bans are sensible. "Foreigner" rhetoric is not. But every sensible person knew he was a **** already. Meanwhile, this is quite interesting and worth a read: [Young and Unafraid of the Coronavirus Pandemic? Good for You. That's not true. Things I dislike about Goa: - alleged to have been involved in corruption associated with the execution of a public official _ only bought the club to get some funds out of China - arrogant and dismissive attitude demonstrated through complete lack of engagement and absence of any plan or vision -no understanding of what an English football club should be - his other businesses have failed - LD Sports Having said that, I'd bang Nelly. -
Two Europa League matches scheduled for tomorrow are kff. Roma cannot get to Seville and vice versa, a Spanish team does not want to travel to Italy. Euro 2020 won't happen IMO.

I heard Ming the Merciless is lining up a bid. #thechineseagreatbunchoflads -
Surely there's next to no chance of Euro 2020 going ahead? It's not like it's even in one location where movements can be controlled and monitored, it's spread all over the place and people will need to make late-call travel plans to attend matches.
