Why would a United Sates of Europe work any better than U.S.S.R or Checkoslovakia for that matter? It would appear from the recent past that joining different nations does not work. The USA does as at the end of the day they are all Americans.

My daughter lost her mobile phone inside the ground at Coventry and the steward wouldn't let us go back and look for it. The club say it hasn't been handed in so my next step is getting a new sim card and getting them to block the phone so it can't be used. If I do this and then the phone turns up, can I get it released again or is it a permanent block?

The poppy collectors are the only cold callers I will happily deal with ( we actually get 2 callers each year as we are on the junction of their 'rounds' and no-one seems sure which round we are on lol). As a southener I think any disaster on that scale should have a complete investigation with no set agenda. It should cover the whole thing from before the tragedy occurred to the final 'clean up'. This should all be public, it's the least those souls and their families deserve.
