My daughter is 18yr in June and me and Mrs D are stuck for ideas. Due to illness etc we are on a strict budget so can't do the things we'd like to so are looking for ideas from you guys. She's a definite tom boy, not at all 'girly', not into jewellery or 'normal girly' things.

Very reasonable expectation. Mind you I also think parents should teach their kids to have respect for others but there's precious little of that about. I can at least take my kids out and know they won't behave as if their pleasure is all that matters.

The local Waitrose where Mrs D works didn't reduce anything, much to the disgust of the customers. Instead they sold it all to the staff at the end of the day at stupid prices. Got some bargains in the freezer.

I don't get why people think NC should issue a statement. This is a business being run by a businessman, it's not owned by fans. He has told the people who matter, the staff. Why can't the rest of you understand that releasing statements everytime someone comes up with a bit of unsubstantiated gossip/rumour is not the way businesses are run?
