That would be better but won’t happen (money, money, money).

We need to dump 10 more shit ones on them to make up for bloody Tommy No-Bale-Sell-On Fourpast, though.

Managed to get the 1 run in the second innings! Well done Hants, more good bowling. If only they had a strong opening pair they would probably be favourites to win the league. I was thinking about the ridiculous situation of teams in Div 1 playing some twice and others only once. I came up with this change, and I was wondering what others think. It's based a bit on what happened last year (which led to an exciting group for the championship), as well as what they do in Scotland in the top division: In Division 1 each team plays an initial 9 matches, once against each of the others. After that, the top 6 go to a mini group and play each other once again (5 matches). All results/points they had against each other previously carry forward, but the results against the bottom 4 do not. Winner wins the championship. Similarly the bottom four play each other again (with only results from those 4 teams carrying over) to determine the 2 relegated teams. Div 2 stays the same as they have 8 teams and play each other twice. The only downside I could think of is that some teams may have had more home (or away) matches to play than others in the carry over split divisions. But this isn't football, so home/away isn't a big issue I think, and they would have played each team in their split group once at home and once away. Certainly better than playing one team once and another twice!

Based on it working away from home WiFi I’m guessing it’s a router thing, and when the router does a firmware update it gets fixed. Hence the “random” timing of the problem going away.

Only works for me if I’m using mobile’s data and not home WiFi network

They'd still hammer us.

Argentinian, initials MP, and great hair. What could possibly go wrong?

Correct, which is why I said it was my guess, and I could be completely wrong. Ralph obviously knew Theo as he was here on loan, and I think Ralph liked him and had a lot of say in him being signed. Adam Leitch also mentioned some time ago that the hierarchy were bending over backwards to keep Ralph happy, so I doubt they'd sign Theo without Ralph being strongly in support.

My guess it was more from Ralph. He seems to be very fond of teacher's pets.

I think some people confuse improbable with impossible. It's improbable we'll go down, but not impossible. Of course, there are different levels of improbable. It's improbable, but not impossible to win the lotto jackpot, but the odds are so astronomically low that it's essentially zero, which is why I never buy one. Same with commercial flights, the odds of crashing are extremely low so most don't worry about it. But if I needed to get from France to England quickly, and the only flight was a poorly maintained 2 seater, with an unlicensed pilot going over a stormy channel, I'd be nervous even if the odds of me not dying were 99%.

If City win their next two matches by an aggregate margin of 6 goals, then Liverpool would need to win their last 2 matches (including us), and hope City lose their final match. And also make up 9 goals.

Good summary. Of course, once in a lifetime scenarios tend to happen once in a lifetime 😉.
-
I think we should give him a start against Liverpool, so that after 2 minutes he can get sent off for a studs up lunge on Salah, and we can then go on to lose 9-0.

Exactly. And, like the Donkey from Monaco, many of us said so at the time. So it isn't a case of 20-20 hindsight.

The problem with that approach is we'll have more RB's than Southgate's England!
