If we lose our last 3 matches (very possible) I can see Burnley and Everton overtaking us, but can't see Leeds getting more than 6 more points: which means at worst we'd finish above them on goal difference (assuming we don't get a rogering by Liverpool).

One word: Saganowski. Not saying FF is deliberately playing at his best potential, conveniently when his contract is about to expire. But it's possible he's now subconsciously playing at 100% because of it, which could again dip after a new contract, if history is to repeat itself. The club got badly burned with his last renewal, so I'm in the "let go" camp.

Wow, he's been anonymous (to put it politely) for months now. Mixed feelings about this, if he had remained red hot like he was at the beginning then either Chelsea would want him back for next season, or a minted club like Newcastle would out bid us. I wonder if Ralph has deliberately set the team up (with him out wide) to make less of an impact to improve our chances of buying him, or is it just that he (Broja) couldn't be arsed. Probably the latter, but I'm not sure ....

Technically true, but if he was signed on the promise to get lots of playing time it wouldn't be a good idea to renege on that understanding. It's not like he's been crap (although, like many, I think Perraud LB and KWP RB is the best line up at this time). Also, I think Ralph and the club are hoping to sign more young talent from the big boys, with the selling point that they'd get more playing time at the Saints. Tino playing regularly could be with that in mind.
