  1. I wouldn't trust Levy/Spurs as far as I could throw them.
  2. We need a number, please.
  3. Yes, but how many from draws? 😜
  4. 1976? That year rings a bell.
  5. See my post above. As long as the odds of a draw are greater than zero (spoiler alert: it is!) then the expected points are above 3. But unless we have the draw odds we don't know how much more.
  6. Ok, as a mathematician let me step in here. What's missing in the OP's post is the odds of drawing (unless the assumption was that it's 0% for all games, which is, err, wrong). So suppose over 10 matches against the big boys we have 10% of winning each match, and let's say (for example) 20% chance of drawing, then our expected points from each match is 10% of 3 points + 20% of 1 point + 70% of 0 points = 0.3 + 0.2 + 0 = 0.5 points. So over those 10 matches we'd predict 0.5 X 10 = 5 points. <Ducks for cover>
  7. MLG - your new avatar? Come on, you know it makes sense.
  8. You mean until the FA cup final?
  9. Salisu ♥️♥️♥️♥️
  10. Or dropped to make room for teacher's pet Walcott?
  11. Please stay clear of dodgy-looking characters carrying umbrellas, Dragan.
  12. Maybe it was on sale 90% off because nobody wants to sail during Covid and take umpteen PCR tests.
  13. Walcott?? You must be joking, we'll get murdered.
  14. Well I don't want them to go out of existence, I wouldn't want that for any club (ok, except one). But I want "sleeping giant" clubs like them, Notts Forest, Sheff Wed etc. to remain sleeping forever, so that Saints have a better chance of remaining in the PL. Look at Leeds and Villa for example, not to mention NewSandCastle, if they get a good foothold in the PL we are pushed lower toward the dreaded drop zone.
  15. Not necessarily. They've closed the gap to only 8 points.
  16. Not if we then went into administration and sunk to the pitiful level of the blue phew for decades.
  17. Dear Chelsea, Haaland is world class, and has a reasonable release clause. Get him now before City do. You know it makes sense. Love, Saints
  18. They are now only 8 points below 21st and not going down. They need another 22 point deduction.
  19. Good point, well made. Everton didn't read the script, Rafa has been prematurely ejected.
  20. with the situation ‘expected to become clearer this week’ Clearer that we won't be signing him permanently?
  21. City seem to be doing a carbon copy of last season: slow start (luckily we played them then), followed by an incredible winning streak. They've won 12 on the trot in the PL so far. Any chance we can do a Newcastle and get it postponed until their streak is over and when they have bigger fish to fry (CL resumption)? 😉
  22. Spot on, that's exactly what I saw when it happened. Thanks for explaining it clearly, the attacker didn't have the ball and ran into Bednarek. A terrible decision, not close to being a penalty.
  23. He missed one playing for England (although did put in the rebound). He's missed one or two for Saints too. He's a bit 1 dimensional with penalties: they all seem to go for the goalkeeper's right hand corner (although usually very well struck). Direct free kicks: world class, best in the world surely.
  24. Romeu has been imperious so far.
  25. The player runs into the defender’s legs. Bullshit decision
