  1. Please stay clear of dodgy-looking characters carrying umbrellas, Dragan.
  2. Maybe it was on sale 90% off because nobody wants to sail during Covid and take umpteen PCR tests.
  3. Walcott?? You must be joking, we'll get murdered.
  4. Well I don't want them to go out of existence, I wouldn't want that for any club (ok, except one). But I want "sleeping giant" clubs like them, Notts Forest, Sheff Wed etc. to remain sleeping forever, so that Saints have a better chance of remaining in the PL. Look at Leeds and Villa for example, not to mention NewSandCastle, if they get a good foothold in the PL we are pushed lower toward the dreaded drop zone.
  5. Not necessarily. They've closed the gap to only 8 points.
  6. Not if we then went into administration and sunk to the pitiful level of the blue phew for decades.
  7. Dear Chelsea, Haaland is world class, and has a reasonable release clause. Get him now before City do. You know it makes sense. Love, Saints
  8. They are now only 8 points below 21st and not going down. They need another 22 point deduction.
  9. Good point, well made. Everton didn't read the script, Rafa has been prematurely ejected.
  10. with the situation ‘expected to become clearer this week’ Clearer that we won't be signing him permanently?
  11. City seem to be doing a carbon copy of last season: slow start (luckily we played them then), followed by an incredible winning streak. They've won 12 on the trot in the PL so far. Any chance we can do a Newcastle and get it postponed until their streak is over and when they have bigger fish to fry (CL resumption)? 😉
  12. Spot on, that's exactly what I saw when it happened. Thanks for explaining it clearly, the attacker didn't have the ball and ran into Bednarek. A terrible decision, not close to being a penalty.
  13. He missed one playing for England (although did put in the rebound). He's missed one or two for Saints too. He's a bit 1 dimensional with penalties: they all seem to go for the goalkeeper's right hand corner (although usually very well struck). Direct free kicks: world class, best in the world surely.
  14. Romeu has been imperious so far.
  15. The player runs into the defender’s legs. Bullshit decision
  16. Decent starting 11 I think. Also nice to see Walcott in his best position, left back (in the changing room).
  17. I had a horrible dream last night Brentford that took us to the cleaners. Mind you, it didn't help that for some reason we had a 5 year old girl in goal. Very talented but she couldn't overcome the physical challenges. Maybe I should limit the alcohol before going to bed.
  18. Gabbi got injured after the final, and didn't get back to himself for the rest of the season.
  19. And the "turgid" second half of the season at home that the anti-Puel mob love to focus on, after the brilliant cup final, we were without Mane, VW, Pelle, Fonte, as well as VVD and Gabbi (our only decent striker) out injured, with Yoshi and Stephens as first choice CBs FFS. It was a disgrace that the board sacked him.
  20. Maybe MLG confused him?
  21. If it goes to penalties both FF and WC have pretty good records.
  22. What about a great cup run, beating Liverpool twice in the semis, playing brilliantly in the final and being very unlucky to lose?
  23. Hopefully Newcastle (H) will be up soon to boost the points total.
  24. Sigh. This was the attitude of most smokers a few decades ago, smoke wherever we want, it's our freedom dammit. For the umpteenth time, anti-vaxxers affect everyone: they are prolonging the pandemic, increasing the spread to others, are petri dishes for mutations, and are responsible for overflowing hospitals (affecting not only burnt-out doctors and nurses, but also hogging beds that then become unavailable for those non-Covid patients in desperate need). And for the umpteenth time, Covid is not a minor threat. Not just the millions who have died, but just as worse are the hundreds of millions suffering from long covid and God know's what long term organ/brain damage. Omicron may not be as bad as delta, but an upcoming epsi-fucking-lon may well be worse.
