No it wasn't, it was that hospital pass by Salisu that led to it. He (Salisu) was absolutely shite in the first half, but fortunately improved after the break. Lyanco was ok for the match I thought.
-
Agreed, he did ok, and it made sense to take Broja off to protect him for Saturday. On the other hand, the less said about that waste of space Walcott the better. And I have finally given up on Djenepo, he is hopeless. I really wanted him to do well, and he has skill and energy, but the PL is beyond his level it seems.

Hopefully Salisu can improve. He was awful in the first half.

Agreed with all the others about the Tino/Perraud situation. The Palace attack looks scary (plus Edouard mini goal drought, gulp). Especially with old Willy in goal. I'd happily take a draw if offered it now.

Are they singing that they're a bigger club than us?

Interesting choice of gif, the ultimate American icon.

The Minsk Memorial Thread (and continuation of his work)

Damn your head! -
Umm, I did. The crocked version of Ings, admittedly.
-
Yep, they've got nothing much to worry about if they go down. A minor inconvenience. Unfortunately it's the opposite for us!
-
Dear God, please no. It'll be difficult getting a result with 11 men, but with 10 it'll be next to impossible.

Come on Ralph, stop blaming others.
-
Yes he was, a great signing. And a timely departure.

At his age I'm not sure Willy can keep it up for that long. One month is probably the best we can hope for.
-
One positive thing, Big Willy is good at saving penalties apparently. Remember he was supposed to come on in the dying minutes of extra time in the 2019 Carabao Cup Final for the shootout, but Chelsea's goalie at the time Arrizabalaga refused to be substituted.

Apart from Ings I'd say we're stronger in all other departments compared to last year, or at least as good (or as bad when it comes to goalies). And Ings was only fit for about half the season, so arguably Broja and AArmstrong could turn out to be on par to half an Ings. I think the main problem is there aren't 3 out and out crap teams below us this time. Even "doomed" Norwich are only 6 points behind, and they have already beaten us.

You can bet your house on it. Now where's that deed to my house ....

Oh great, Aubamayang is on another goal drought. We all know how that ends.
-
Which begs the question, why after 4 years is he still with the club?

cUnacceptable inconsistency and appalling standard of referees
Dark Munster replied to cambsaint's topic in The Saints
I'm sure this was mentioned in the Brighton game thread, but the ref yesterday was beyond incompetent. Not just the Brighton players he didn't book for dirty fouls, but even worse were the yellows for Mo E's perfectly good tackle, and Salisu for holding the ball for a second and then lobbing it back to the area of the free kick. And that will result in a f**king suspension. Being a yellow, no appeals allowed of course. -
Redmond on the right >>>>> Redmond on the left

That aged well!

Hey, better than McArthur.

What's your goals per minutes played ratio?

Doesn't sat nav or Google maps give the fastest route?

Aspartame? My body says no thanks. Great thread title BTW. 👍
